I will be staying here for the weekend,

I have seen the cottage for the past few years as it is just above where I normally camp (south park)  can't wait to wonder around the site

Looks amazing, I’m so jealous, hope you get lucky or that view will be hard to look at.

Charm x

I know, If I don't get tickets I am going to work it. Been thinking about doing anyway , to see what it is like from the other side. would also save money

Sounds like a good plan, I really like the idea of working but I’m too interested in having a 5 day bender, wishing you lots of luck.

I got married at this gaff;

And i thought that was snazzy. Your accommodation looks off the scale.

Seriously thinking of just working it anyway regardless. Means I can turn up on Monday and have a 7 day festival!

This is how a lot of previous volunteers seem to feel. Some swear they will never go back to being ticketed (our lot get to enter Tuesday mid afternoon).

I've really struggled with both ticketed and volunteering the last two festivals (they were both just as knackering).

I'm pretty sure I will still be pressing F5 like a maniac on T-day. You miss so much when you're a V.

But... as a V you get so many perks.

It's a dillema but T-day is first dibs!

interesting that they have 2020 Ticket and Accommodation packages and are already sold out! Any idea how that would work or if it is Legit?

some of the off site glamping can come with VIP tickets (what is VIP about them I am not sure) they get given them by the festival, then they sell them with the package to really fucking rich people. there is a place just off site that will fly you in via helicopter and they also do packages that come with a ticket. alas i can just about afford to pay £50 deposit if I am lucky enough then worry about the other £200 which i can't afford later

Most of the accommodation and ticket packages have already sold out for 2020. I know Woodland Retreats and Lovefields have mainly to people who have stayed there before.

That'll be an interesting challenge, but, I'd say, a fun one.

Anyway, what price for those views? And then at night, you can light it all up with candles, which will give it a lovely feel. We have a campervan which, even when hooked up to electric, we only use candles for lighting. It's much nicer.

    • Attended a gig at Piece Hall for the first time on Saturday (Opeth), the music was excellent. Just a couple of points on the organisation & the event itself. - Getting through the gates seemed to take longer than required. I was at the South gate about 30 mins before stated start time and still missed first half of Katatonia. - Coffee stall was serving cold coffee later on. - Lots of the crowd seemed to be more interested in chatting than listening to the music. Doubly annoying when sound levels for Opeth seemed quieter than Paradise Lost, is this usual for the venue due to curfew etc? Luckily there was enough room so I could move close to the front of the crowd and couldn't hear drunken chatter anymore 🙂
    • Tickets will just be sent out via email; going out next Monday 10th August apparently.
    • That's how I'd see it, either or, 3 BST rules her out.
    • Surely the chances of Madonna doing three+ nights at BST and also Glastonbury is pretty low? I know Elton did (2?) nights at BST but it seems like it’s one or the other at this point?   A shame. I think she would be absolutely brilliant - plus, unfortunately, given that she isn’t as able as she was means this could be a now or never situation?
    • All of these were published in July of their respective year. Appreciate the festival is a little later than normal but it must surely be live in the next 48 hours? The first events start in five days! 🤣
