There’s always something out there but only twice in the 11 years I’ve been there previously have I been wowed.

Even though it’s not the biggest festival going, I do feel it punches below it’s weight when you see some smaller festivals pull some genuine class out of the hat at times.

I don’t see tonight being any different. Just hoping we don’t get the same old acts we see every 2-3 years making their return.

Quick question, is there anywhere near the festival to buy alcohol? Getting the train from Glasgow and don’t really fancy having to carry crates of booze as well as all my other stuff.

there’s a town near the site called Penrith with plenty of shops for booze, KC is about a ten/fifteen minute drive from there

There’s a huge Morrison’s out of the centre. We always stock up there. They’ve got a camping section too, to get everything you inevitably forgot.

That’s handy to know then, aren’t there buses that run from the station to the festival?

Looks like it might be right. I’ve got X Radio on, they’ve announced Courteeners, Doves, Manics, Gerry Cinnamon, Chic & Nile Rogers, Fratellis, Leftfield, Mystery Jets, Tom Jones, Idols, Cuban Brothers and some others I don’t remember!

EDIT: They’ve put a list on the Radio X site

Can’t believe we got away wirt Run DMC! Hoping Orbital headline as a nighttime set would be great. 5 headliners into 4 nights doesn’t go

Orbital looks like Thursday headline as there is an asterisk as previous Thursday headers . Obviously Tom will co heading with someone then it works bit like the beach boy year

    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
