Mr Benn
Hello Does anyone know where to buy a fairly cheap sleeping bag that packs away really small? thanks x
CaledonianGonzo
Unfortunately those tend to be fairly mutually exclusive factors. I was searching last year and ones that pack up small tend to come in at a bit of a mark up - over 3 figures. Best just to have a look at your local outdoors store and see what suits you best. I've got a Vango Venom 200 Square but I got it a while ago and tbh the current bag going by that name on the Vango website looks pretty different to what I have. musky
Small/Cheap/Warm. Pick any two options out of that list, but you won't get all three

daisylane
You could always buy a cheap one as they're usually lightweight and small, then buy a sleeping bag liner for warmth?

admscott
I bought this recently as was impressed! Packs down relatively small, is very light, and is quite cheap for what it is. Might be a bit on the chilly side for some, but was fine for me. http://cotswoldoutdoor.com/ayacucho-lite-700-sleeping-bag-d2212172
ukmountie
I used one of these last year. Not available from Amazon ATM, but you'll find them on eBay for about £20. Kept me warm enough. Packs up tiny and very light. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00Y82Y03O/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2JO6IMXTZ2BD5&coliid=I3HUD6FAKXJVI5&psc=
Fork_UK
I bought this kit in 2015 because I had no money to get all the bits separately and thought the sleeping bag would be about the same as a bin bag, but it's great! I used it last year and on two other camping trips and it's really warm! The rest of the stuff in the kit has broken or been lost, but the bag is spot on. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Complete-camping-kit-sleeping-festivals/dp/B00DEI0PJ6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1492978789&sr=8-1&keywords=lazy+camper Edited April 23, 2017 by Fork_UK
verrymerry
Decathlon have small ones which I remember to be reasonably priced but I didn't get one because I don't think they're warm enough for camping in June in England. It depends on how cold you get really, I'm a big wuss and I need to be warm
semmtexx
Buy a cheapish/small one and get a fleece liner for it. They make a huge difference. I also pack an emergency space blanket that I can pull over my sleeping bag if it's too cold. Sleeping mat underneath your sleeping bag adds a layer of insulation. Worth having for that reason on its own. Edited April 23, 2017 by semmtexx
Dyceloon
yip, i would agree, Bog standard sleeping bag with a liner. Liner packs very small and and gives you the flexability over a range of evening temperatures.
