Aye, totally horrendous weather that year. Has the rain stopped in this pic ?

If I remember, it was ok Thursday and Friday then it went to shit.

Started through the night on Friday and didn't stop :-(

I think this might have been on the saturday. i remember dancing to the mondays in the rain and then ended up staying in one of the tents for a good few hours. Think we left on the Sunday morning, the wife couldnt cope anymore!

I remember walking in from family camping for the Mondays. Outrageous rain downpour.

We made it till Sunday night then had to go. River through the tent etc.

Have said it before on here but hats off to the organisers for keeping things going. Opening the road for us to walk in bypassing general camping and opening the back exit to save us trying to get up the hill of mud saved the day.

Bit too early yet, especially as Cumbria weather likes to do what ever it wants.

I honestly don't remember 2014 being that bad. Don't get me wrong, the worst in the four I've done, but still bearable. Maybe it's a mixture of being Cumbrian & quite a few muddy Glastonbury's that I just get on with it.... and drink a bit more. :unsure:

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
