Car Park Issues !!

In 2009 I had to go on and off the site on the Friday where it had chucked it down all night and continued into the day and had no problem getting on or off the car park. Main routes in have tracks or matting down and elsewhere the grass is nice and long so mud doesn't build up.

So honestly not a problem

Green man family side car parks last year were woeful, no track way and cars v close together. Thought i was going to slide all the way down a hill into other cars. Glastonbury not a problem.

Really we had orange  parking (but in family camping) tried to get into blue but had no problems getting out. This is where I learnt the low revs, high  gear thing as they had sings in the orange car park telling you to do that, i can't stress how useful that advice was as your instinct in mud is to rev hard but if you we where  amazed how if you follow that advice and try to keep moving it really works.

I never know how to do that in my automatic! I am a new and quite rubbish driver and the whole thing freaked me right out...

Use the gears below the drive position. Usually marked L2. :)

We got pulled out of the East car parks by a big tractor at 6am in 2007. It was hilarious, especially when Mr P&P left his window open and all the mud splashed up off the tyres into his lap. :D

2007 the WBC Crew Campsite was just outside the wall { in the area they now call Darble and Pylon ground } - very handy for us as the Crew Car Park was right next to it - anyway over time that car park got Muddy and as I had parked there I thought I would move my car to higher ground just in case I got stuck and on the Sunday some of my Team walked out with me as they were also going to move their cars - in the crew car park there was a RAC truck who appeared to be towing someone but all of a sudden the RAC truck got bogged down so we hung about to see what happened { as it was blocking our way up the hill } - very shortly a second RAC truck arrived ' with a laughing driver ' but he was not laughing for long ' because he also got bogged down ' - I kept looking round just to check it was not a set up { Candid Camera } - anyway one of the drivers flagged down a Tractor and they were both towed out - this screwed up that path but we were able to take a second path and were able to get to high ground and were able to leave on the Monday without problems.

Not much chance of the festival being cancelled imo the purple car park is currently totally closed but they are hoping that will be open by tomorrow or Monday all the other car parks are OK to my knowledge. As for inside the festival it's nothing to worry about

Is purple still closed. On route to site now and that's where I am supposed to be parking
