cult been ruled out by organisers some time ago. Although they did once say the same about James, so who knows....

Jimmy Cliff isn't totally unrealistic I think - seen him headline Beatherder who, although a bigger festival, spread resources over more stages and have similiar size headliners (levellers this year for instance)

Are there actually rumours about Therapy? or is it just because I keep asking for them?

ha ha - possibly, but I did hear they were close one year....

I did the same with Toots and the Maytals, where I wanted it so much that I began to beleive it, and then started to persuade others that it was going to happen too...

Update from BT Forum...

So, is there an actual 'announcement' tomorrow (12th)?

Hi, not now sadly as we wanted to include more than a handful of acts. It will be at the end of this month and we are doing by a video. Can someone plonk this into the BT Facebook groups and let folks know on other festival forums. It will be hugely appreciated.

It will be worth the wait but then again we said that about Athlete and UB40.

  • 2 weeks later...

The Stranglers have tour dates for march and april with the Black & White album in its chronological entirety during their set.

with support from the alarm.

must be in with a chance of them playing bearded theory too.

Probably too soon for The Stranglers to come back but The Alarm is a good shout.

Close though.

Thanks mate....

Just goes to show, don't listen to anything I say regarding toots and bearded...

(Although I did hear he was in advanced talks to headline the Sunday next year, word is that the prospect of playing what he refers to as 'the Ali Campbell ub40 spot' could be enough to coax him out of his unfortunate retirement....)

    • Based on previous times that rules quite a lot out of early summer festivals into the August runs.
    • No dramas man, I just like to follow others journeys as well. Get the inspiration, give out inspiration and the outdoors is the clear the head place to do it. I'm heading out for a easy trail run today I think, 10k- 10 mile we'll see how we go. I've got a half marathon in October I'm well unprepared for hahs
    • The Cheap Thrills at Mountford Hall, Liverpool.    They've been around for a while and have built up a large local following. Last night was their biggest yet, at a sold out 2,200 capacity venue.    It was a big old joyous, indie singalong from start to finish, the band clearly having the time of their lives. The debut album is out next month and they seem to be going down well on the festival circuit, maybe their time has finally come.   2 supports, I unfortunately missed Credits but the few songs they have on Spotify sound good, Americana vibes. The other was M60, reportedly Gary Neville's favourite band. If that's true, he's as clueless about music as he is football. To be fair, their sound was poor, maybe with a clearer sound they'd have been better but it was pretty dull.
    • I can see them all merging along with the Tory’s . Restore curently couldn’t muster enough candidates to be a viable option . I lasted 4 mins and couldn’t watch any more . Lowe is just dull along with racist
