SE Corner - Queuing

Been in Thursday last 2 years and had no issues getting in around 10/11pm down the railway track. also got in at 1am on Friday last year no queueing.

Guess avoiding the half hour immediately after the headliners is the key, when 40k + people all turn up at once.

That makes sense, and I've never had any real issues on a Thursday either. I normally give it a little while before heading over post main-stage headliners but this year there's bits on fairly quickly after that I'm interested in, so was just trying to gauge if this was feasible.

Since the new one way system I've never really had any issues queuing to get into the area. maybe queued 10 minutes max last year at peak time and i was there every night.

Queuing to get into the individual areas is more of an issue though!

There's never been a queue with me and I've always headed straight over after the last acts of the day. They use a entry system that just slows people down so there isn't one giant squeeze of people trying to get in all at once. You just have to go through the winding entry sytem. But as said, once you're in that's when getting in to individual places proves hard.

The queues look a lot worse than they actually are to be fair - straight after the main stages finish you get a lot of 'tourists' who basically just enter through the one-way system, shuffle through and exit onto the Railway Track within half an hour or so - if you scarper straight from the act you want to see you shouldn't have too many issues at all.

Getting into the Temple for something decent this year is on the list. Didn't make it in last year, but timed it to perfection in 2013 and it's great in there. Guess turning up 15 mins before one act finishes is a decent policy.

Want to get from ez on the wow at 1 to ulterior Motive in heaven for 3... What time do they stop letting people in?

You should be fine getting there but you may have a queue to get into Heaven at the time and may struggle to see all of it.

Edit - Actually is that the outside bit? In which case, you'll definitely be able to do it.

is there ever queues to get into the Block9 area itself?

I want to see Robert Hood at 01:30 on Sunday night, but won't be making my way over until after Ryan Adams finishes at The Park close to midnight.

Hood is playing Genosys so presumably it's just getting into the Block9 area which would be the issue?

How long does it take approximately to get from the Pyramid to the Common say 11pm?

Depending on where you are, in good weather you can do it in about 10 minutes, in bad weather allow for 25? This is based on the assumption you are stood to the right of the main stage and not deep in the crowd.

I haven't had to queue to get into a particular area since 2010 when Arcadia used to cause all sorts of issues with that area - not had any problems since - I too will be heading down to see Robert Hood.

Correct. They can close the field off, but I seriously doubt they'll be doing that on that time of night on a Sunday. I'll be there and I'm not anticipating any problems.

thanks Matt and Untz!

90mins should be plenty of time to get in I hope.

looking forward to Hood, he cancelled at a festival here in Ireland a few weeks ago due to illness, and he's coming over in August when I'm away on a stag, so this will be my only time to see him this year

Since they moved arcadia Its no where near as bad as it used to be, but if you want to watch a main-stage headliner then see someone in the SE corner straight after, you're out of luck.

Going straight from west holts can work though!

Yeah would definitely advise leaving before the headliners finish. That's what will slow you down more than anything.

Can easily get from Pyramid - Common within 20 - 30 minutes if its quiet.

Great thanks. My Hip Hop saturday night should work out then. A bit of Kanye then off to the Rum Shack to catch the Mouse Outfit.
