I love and hate London in equal measure. I mean, it a fantastic city, but its a real pain in thr fricking arse as well.

Central London and the outskirts (I live in a nice part, Hampton, sorta south west and basically Surrey) is nice but I agree, it can be a right drag.

Council tax fucking kills me. I remember where I used to live in Hounslow borough there is an area where the borough border is separated by a crossroads, one side of the crossroad you paid about £100 council tax to Hounslow, the other side £140 to Richmond as they have one of the highest rates in the country. Fucking ridiculous. I'm talking a distance of less than 20 metres here and thats worth an extra £40 in council tax!

I hate Watford as a town but I would sooner live there any day again. I am strongly considering it lets put it that way.

A whole city being rather specific? I feel I've missed a joke somewhere there.

If not, it was fairly hyped up which is why we chose that as one of our destinations on our interrailing trip. I found it rather disappointing in all fairness. The place that we went that exceeded expectations was Brussels, amazing city which we only initially chose for convenience.

Can I drop you a PM? Doing Interrail this summer and got some questions.

Overrated stuff:

Pizza in general

The Doors

Brothers cider

The fuck?! (Agree on Pizza though, but its mainly the cheese, which would go on my extremely overated list :P)

By the way, bacon is overrated.

I'm ready for the onslaught from all you Ron Swansons out there!

The actual fuckery?! Bacon is brilliant! There is no food that can't be improved without a rasher or two of bacon added! (apart from Bacon Bits at the Hippy Chippy, terrible!)

And East London is very overrated, unless you're going as far as, say, Leyton, which is just a shit hole. Sums up London that: overrated or shithole. Sometimes both.

Lies, East London is wonderful!

I have seriously noticed though that people who don't live in London love the place whereas people who live here are sick of it.

Not true, I live in London and still love. Its a spectacular city, full of variety.

Hence the rents and house prices, which are shit :(

Its got a Grillstock now and is slowly being gentified since the Olympics, so depends what you class as a shithole :P

Can't see them getting a stall, silly really though people going on about commercialism though, hundreds of food vendors on the site that are less ethical and get away year on year selling terrible shite classed as food.

The Doors aren't that good though really. All their work sounds incredibly dated.

Maybe if you were around at the time it makes a difference :P

Some peoples ears just dont work properly, The Doors stuff still sounds awesome.

    • So we've signed a Horny Czech, and Bruno's turned up the training camp instead of doing Isak's nonsense.   Still not sure I believe Bruno's staying mind, but glad he's not doing the sh*t Arsenal are asking him to do to lower the price. If they want him they can stump up.   My suspicion is that whichever of Madrid/Man City don't start next season with Rodri will go for Bruno, and one of them will come in while Arsenal have f**ked about trying to get him cheap, which while I absolutely want to keep him, would still be good enough bants and a nice middle finger that I wouldn't mind it so much. I just wish we'd report Arsenal for tapping up.   If rumours are to be believed, we're after 2 more defensive signings, and an attacking player, on top of a replacement if Bruno leaves, having already signed a LW, 2 CMs, a GK, and some youth players. Huge churn, but apart from a couple of Bazou Toure's games for Ivory Coast at the world cup, I've not seen any of them play. Over 2 summers we've basically changed our entire team aside from the CBs.
    • I think the level of headliners Bloodstock get is varied    There's been bands who have gone on to play Download in quite a low spot like Meshuggah, Behemoth, Opeth etc.    Then they've had years like 2025 where you can argue that all three headliners are download main stage sub level    Knocked Loose right now i'd argue are 3rd down on main/opus headliner level while EC and FFDP are borderline main stage sub
