Actually, that's an easy answer I would have thought-they'll have put his reg details in the 'paid deposit' database, so he can go through and 'pay remaining balance', while we're sitting here unable to get anywhere.

I reckon it's quite possible he'd been offered a ticket, as there was reportedly a bit of a cock-up with the locals' tickets this year (postcodes not matching when they should, or something). But there's no way they'd have to open up the public purchasing website just so he could get a single ticket onto the system
