have to say that not having to sort out payment at time of booking was much smoother. Think this could have been a great decision from the festival
-
got tickets at 1 min past. Couldn't believe it. We go again Sunday for those still trying!!
-
best of luck to everyone trying today, and thank you to all the kind people who've organised the resale groups. Fingers crossed for all of us!
-
Same. Interesting no steward spots at all yet, wonder if they're holding off to do a batch as a "resale" of sorts like last year...
-
Yeh using Distill Chrome Extension, works well and very easy to set up. Do recommend it but it only works when you're on your laptop, so if last year is anything to go by, I think it's going to be tricky for awhile to get one with it, as presume there's lots of people on their laptops in the day, getting the notifications and racing for one spot at a time... last year I got mine by just randomly checking it late at night!
-
haha same 😂 heart was racing
-
which is making monitoring for steward spaces a bit trickier 😂
-
Yeh this is a tricky one, have to say I struggled with the tediousness of Oxfam shifts last year, but Shelter does sound like it would interfere more with seeing acts...
-
damn, no Shelter email for me… definitely got a confirmation that I registered my interest too.
-
yeh it definitely took commitment... and came at the sacrifice of productivity
-
Absolutely. I think everyone who stuck with it last year on here got one in the end. Really no need to panic, the chances are pretty solid.
-
I had a page checker last year but the time I actually got a spot was when I just randomly checked before I went to sleep at about 11pm, sometime in April or May I think
-
Outside ped gate B. Have to say it's quite exhausting trekking up to the Oxfam campsite and back as it's quite a slog from most stages, particularly late night stuff. Had very sore back and legs by the Sunday, much worse than previous glastonburys as a ticket-goer
-
Was hoping the same... fingers crossed
-
congrats to those who managed this morning, looks like another year of checking the page over and over again for me 😂
-
comment from Oxfam team on fb: "hi everyone - the team are working quickly to check that those who have had payments taken have reserved places. We hope to have an update for you all soon."

Don’t want to add to anyone’s fear but if you’re coming through London I’d just be wary that Ubers haven’t been as reliable recently and have been quite hard to get sometimes for awhile now. Just don’t always seem to be many around. Bolt is a similar app as a backup. But would say if you won’t be able to get the bus, it would be worth prebooking with a local taxi company just in case you can’t actually get an Uber on the day/time. I got a bus during the tube strike (and through a busy route) on Monday, late morning, and it was probably busier than normal but fine.
-
I also don't remember 16 being that bad at all. Some funny moments from the mud if anything (do appreciate though that mud is probably not so funny if you've got any kind of mobility issue)
-
that's amazing news!!! congrats to you and your mate, what a result 2 weeks away
-
Yeh absolutely, sure it'll be fine
-
sounds great. From the looks of the telegram chat there will also be an Oxfam organised bar crawl on the monday night too. Any of you think you'll join that?
-
sadly not and I think they're going to camp in Paines ground so couldn't be further away! I had presumed I would just be able to go join them in general camping as didn't realise that you have to stay in Oxfield. But oh well, sure it'll be fine.
-
great news that a few e-festers got earlies! chuffed for you all. Monday meet-up sounds great. I'm on the monday bristol bus and all other mates going have tickets, so will be going solo in Oxfield.
-
ah yes I thought it was less than that but seems you're right. Pays decently so still an option for those not in full-time work but probably not a good option if you'd have to take time off work to do it.
