After a week of listening to closing time, the heart of Saturday night and heart attack and vine, on my cycle journey to work and back, from recommendations here, I can say that the heart of Saturday night will be something I'll go back to again and again. It's bloody brilliant, as I'm sure you all knew this

Closing time and dwordfishtrombone for me...

the song he performed was great, but definitely watch the interview too. he's definitely a character who would be a joy to see hold court...

I'll check this out tomorrow. I was on the bus earlier, didn't want to blub, lol. He's great live, lucky enough to catch him in Edinburgh, with his schmooze. You seen 7 psychopaths? He could be playing out his stories.

1. Rain Dogs

2. Bone Machine

3. Small Change

4. Swordfish

5. Frank's Wild Years or Alice.

Anyway, Tom's never done Festivals and doesn't look like he intends to, so don't get your hopes up.

I wonder what his festival set would look like? Based on his 2008 setlists (last tour) + new album, that would be my guess...

Lucinda

Raised Right Man

Singapore

Chicago

Way Down in the Hole

Cemetery Polka

Bad as Me

Rain Dogs

Solo Piano set:

Lucky Day (/Picture in a Frame)

On the Nickel (/Come On Up to the House)

Tom Traubert's Blues

Innocent When You Dream

Full band back:

Hoist that Rag

Jockey Full of Bourbon

Back in the Crowd (/Talking at the Same Time)

Jesus Gonna Be Here (/Get Behind the Mule)

Make it Rain

Dirt in the Ground

Encore:

Goin' Out West

Time (/Anywhere I Lay My Head)

Solid 20 songs... listed some alternatives too. Amazing setlist IMO. Maybe he'd pull 'Downtown Train' for the festivals crowd, though he only played it twice since 1988 (and one was acoustic), so I doubt it.
