The day tickets sale page seems to be in order of placing and lists The 1975, ID, Jack U, TDCC, CHVRCHES and The Vaccines as the top six acts after the headliners, in that order. Not sure if that clarifies or changes anything but thought I'd point it out anyway.

Has anyone actually questioned Melvin as to what he meant by RHCP being "exclusive"? I can't get over this - have they pissed up the wall the budget on an "exclusive" headliner, who aren't even exclusive?

TiTP seem to be saying the same.. so maybe they are exclusive for Scotland and England respectively?

Maybe he doesn't realise that Scotland voted No.

Can't decide if this will look better once the (real) poster is out....but it's certainly not screaming BUY A TICKET so far to many it looks like.

Also can't tell if T is on par, better, or worse...

T pisses it.

Yes your are tight T in the park pissing all over this reading line up with the likes of Stone roses, LCD, New order, Jake bugg. Faithless, kaiser chiefs. Frank Turner and the last shadow puppets all playing T. And yes I went to reading last year.

And another thing fall out boy must have a bloody good manager to get them a headline slot of a major European festival!

putting it down on a poster would probably make reading at least (maybe not leeds as it looks like they are getting the weaker headliners), look better than the last two years. would've loved to see weezer and Tame impala there as well but this is defintely not a weak line-up in comparison to other festivals this year.

I think R&L's lineup is stronger than T's.

for sure. the only two i'd want from T that aren't at randl are TLSP and catfish.

T is shite. Less interesting acts than randl.

What I do like about T is at least they seem to still bare in mind "classic" acts, such as Fun Lovin Criminals, Travis, Stiff Little Fingers, and Faithless.

I dont necessarily like those acts, but its nice they cater bands to see for nostalgic hits rather than just current popular-ish artists and Five Finger Death Punch

Stone Roses are dinosaurs and brown is crap live. Chilis are at randl. Calvin Harris is weaker than any of the randl 5.

I'd take Frank Turner but it'd be another repeat and possibly Fun Loving Criminals. Kaiser are good live.

But it's drab and unimaginative. Hardly anything exciting near the top of the bill and most of the smaller acts I'd watch are all at randl

while i agree with all of this, they need to tone it down from bumping the price up 20 quid each year.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
