Apparently 3rd Glastonbury headliner not announced till June. Lollapalooza Berlin's headliner is announced 1st June as well. We could be in for a long wait?

I am almost sure that Lollapalooza Berlin headliner is Muse, but can't be announced until 1st June because they are headlining Der Ring/Rockavaria festivals 29/30/31st May... Edited by johnybegood

Think we can expect Flying Lotus.

He's playing in belgium in a few weeks. Probably one of those names that are to be confirmed after those coming-up shows.

Also touring the PP-period. Last tour they played dour festival. Dour would always book them if they could... but not yet on their line-up.
And then I wouldn't be surprised to see gaslamp killer experience to be added in the same wave.

13th April and no news... so tickets won't be on sale this wedbesday.

Once Drake and KoL are 100% ruled out... I can't find any "new" headliner on the way, some sub or 3rd Werchter Band is the most that we can expect....

Total silencie in social media in the last 15 days... they must be so sure that they will sell out again independently of they line-up...

Let's wait and see

The silence on social media is deafening. Very unlike them.

Just checked, bought my ticket 18th March last year. Very surprised they're not on sale yet.

The silence on social media is deafening. Very unlike them.

Just checked, bought my ticket 18th March last year. Very surprised they're not on sale yet.

Last 2 years the tickets were on sale a week after the first names were announced in March, but in 2012 the first names were announced March 27 and ticket sales didn't begin until May 7 (pre-sale) and May 14 (general sale). So we've had to be more patient than April 15 in the past.

In each of 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010, the tickets were also not on sale by this date, and began in late April/ early May. (Source: nerdy research looking through previous threads on here.)

Looks like Kings Of Leon aren't European exclusives for Spain after all. They're already in Europe on the 21st of July though, not sure if that makes them less likely.

And Jack White is deffo ruled out now. Just announced that he'll do a handful of US dates in the next weeks, then going on a tour hiatus. Probably to work on that Dead Weather album he promised for 2016.

Still wouldn't be surprised if we get nothing at all tomorrow. It's an unofficial account, so they're probably just basing themselves on that info spread by some bands.

As said before: major festivals rarely give new names/important info during the holidays. Rock Werchter made sure to have the lineup completed before the start of it, Dour and Les Ardentes both stopped a 'new names every week' streak after the start of the holidays. And we're talking about a festival who even announces the start of wish list period in advance....

If we're lucky we get more ticketing info tomorrow. But most likely situation is a batch of names early next week + confirmation of a presale date for end of April/early May.

Also bear in mind that the service costs are included in the total this time, whereas last year it was on top of the base ticket price. So it's actually "only" € 18 more than last year. Still a 10% hike for those of us paying in Euros though.

I think that they are sure that they will sell out the festival, so they may have reduced the booking budget and increased the ticket pices to see what happens... Werchter has booked lot of british and american acts and haven´t increased the price so much, so the euro rate exchange can't be the only resposible...

The Belgian crowd isn't exactly pleased though...

Day tickets are the same price as a Dour 4 day ticket, and the weekend tickets are barely any cheaper than the Rock Werchter ones. And that while having the worst topping acts in years.

Just taken a look at the Festileaks forum. Not happy bunnies.

So....This 3rd headliner must be massive then? yeah, right.

PR from the organisers has been awful this year.

Lowlands just announced a few new names, several are already at PkP like Limp Bizkit, FFS, Mini Mansions, Maccabees, Rudimental.

But I'd say there's a reasonable chance we might see De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig (I reckon they could sub by now), Fuzz, Afterpartees, Bleachers or Vaults show up, barring exclusives or scheduling.
Bleachers in particular seems very PkP appropriate, fits with what they've booked so far.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
