The whole place has changed. It's no longer filled with an exotic mix of cavalier desperados, misfits, loners and ne'er-do-wells. You no longer find and create your own late night entertainment as it's shit shovelled to you on a plate. Most of the rest remains the same, apart from some headlining acts I suppose. It's still the big kiddy on the block, but has been homogenised to the point that it's no longer the friend I once had.

It's not as good as it used to be.

Half joking, half not.

The number of bands to witness at a wonderful festival never ceases to amaze. But there are definitely more "look at me I'm crazy" sorts than there were even 5 years ago.

Don't get me wrong it's still brilliant but you may find yourself walking more to avoid the dickheads.

Yog, we always have that fire. And everyone is welcome.

I'm happy to hear that there are still people having fires at Glastonbury. They have a marvellous ability to attract the lone but very charming lunatic, or lunatics on occasion. They also somehow give one the strength to talk shite all night long while feeling cosy.

Thanks for the offer jeffie. Maybe one day.

It's a bit more organised now, bit less random, but nowadays there's also fewer (proportionally) c**ts, I guess too. So swings and roundabouts. The 20 year old me liked the madness of the early 90s, the 40 year old me likes the gentility of its current incarnation.

I think the swings and roundabouts are a splendid addition...

The crowd are mostly hunter wearing clones that saw something like a festival on the bbc

Actually it occurs to me this morning that it's as if we swapped the portion of the crowd made up of dodgy greasy or skinhead guys who looked like they might have jumped in and robbed a tent or two for the hunter wearing portion. One spoilt things a bit by making it a bit less relaxed, the other by talking constantly, sneering and expecting you to get out of their way/away from their blanket

There's still a huge portion of the same sorts of people, just different people to avoid
