Rock am Ring 2015

Gossard

Recommended Posts

Rock am Ring 2015 will be held on June 5th - June 7th at Flugplatz Mendig instead of Nurburgring where it's been since for ever. Does anybody know anything about this Flugplatz Mendig place? It seems like(on google maps at least) this site is on grass witch I think is great. Also, is the festival only three days now, not four like last year?

...any jucy band rumors?? :)

Who are DIE TOTWEN HOSEN? Seem to be big in Europe...

No they're only big in Germany I think. A decent band and they put up a fine show, but for me personally they shouldn't be headlining a festival like RaR.....

DTH are also headlining Nova Rock in Austria and Greenfield in Switzerland and maybe Hurricane... so they are big in more countries... For me is unbeliveable that such a horrible band can headline major festivals in Europe

They speak German in these countries so that's probably why they're also big there....

No Rock Im Park thread but heading there. Me and Metallikris are flying to Munich then onto the festival. :)

Time it and book the train from 92 days in advance. I did that for the 2012 edition, got the ICE train for 49 euro. Lovely and comfortable.

Sorry to revive this thread but, I'm going to RaR 2015 for the first time and anyone got any tip about it? How's the last day? (I mean, how to get back to the stations? Is it everything packed?)

What's the real difference between Rock 'N Roll Camping and the regular one?

Thanks in Advance guys!

Going to Rock Im Park. It will be my first time there so does anyone have any info on if there are shuttle buses from the city centre to the festival site? Or is it easier to use the train? I'm staying in a hotel in town not camping.

Thank you in advance.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
