The smell of Glastonbury...mmmmmm!

Have you got a comforting smell wafting your way acting as a welcome reminder of those happy times when Glasto is over? For me, any food being cooked outdoors, diesel generators etc... Great at the moment..barbies everywhere & I can start up the diesel camper van anytime for a fix!

We have a groundsheet that we have packed in our rucksack, in a plastic bag. I have washed everything else, apart from this, as it is our last remaining authentic smell of the festival. Although, that said, the smell of the long drops does keep crossing my radar randomly!

I got our tent out this weekend to give it its yearly 'service' and it stank of stale piss, and I know for a fact I didnt piss in or on it! It ended up having an our in the bath. You will be pleased to know it now has a fresh mint smell and is fully dry and packed up.

I'd say Festival smell is more appropriate.

Festivals have that... smell... that I never smell anywhere else

must be mixture of tent linings, shit, piss, sweat, and dry shampoo.

That weird smell towards the end of the weekend around the more busy areas. A combination of mud, spilt beer, dropped food and who knows what else. Kind of sweet yet sickly.

Quite glad I don't smell that more often, tbh.

Oooh, I'm so glad I've seen this. I was in either London or Bath this weekend when I thought "That smell! It smells like Glastonbury!". I was just outside walking down a street but I can't remember where, and the smell was just.. Glastonbury.. Indescribable really. I just immediately felt like I was back there when I smelt it. It wasn't shit/piss/BBQ etc, it was just.. the smell of the festival.

That's the hardest thing I've ever had to explain and I don't think you can really call it 'explaining'.
