Great news, slodge!

I'm a bit jealous of you non-coachers, as I'll only get mine on board on the 24th. but then I'll see it first whilst actually en route to the festival, so swings and roundabouts.

I got an email saying that they are emailing out the e-tickets for coachers this week, so I will update you NFR-ers when that lands!

Hurrah something didn't go crap this week!!!

Had to go to dentist as tooth cracked but thankfully just surface work with no nasty drilling or root stuff.

I have had an abscess in my gum for around 4months now, keeps swelling up every few weeks all the way up to my eye. Waiting to have 4 teeth out in hospital as its spread all around my mouth through my gums. Bad times so so painful, if i dont get an appointment before glastonbury i severely hope it doesn't balloon during the festival!

Dental work is terrifying, glad it was just surface work for you

We're not sure how the car park thing will go, in previous years we've stayed locally and been in the car park at 6am, last year we all met at a Maccy Dees nearby at 5am and convoyed into the car park and started queuing, but that meant driving through the night for some folk and it knackered them.

Cockbaby- is it awful being in the queue all night or quite fun? We're thinking, car for a few hours then queue about 4am.

Genie- Bath is lovely!

It's a mix of both, its a fun atmosphere/buzz(alcohol helps) in the queue but it is pretty cold/tiring/hard to fall asleep/slightly awful.

I wouldn't do it if we weren't trying to camp in Oxylers with a group of 17.

So, as I was finishing at work a producer/director pitched up and asked if she could do some filming of moi for previously discussed TV stardom. She wanted shots of me walking down corridors and into cubicles, writing patient notes, you know the kind of thing. Filler shots to edit into the masterpiece.

Well, shy and retiring though I am, I managed to rally and deliver BAFTA-level performance. My pretend writing was particularly strong, they said. I am hoping this will lead to offers from Parkers, Mont Blanc, Waterman etc. for some seriously lucrative fountain pen advert work. Hey, Ross Kemp always said he bought a Golf GTI off the back of those Fruit & Fibre ads...

In other news, I finally did it and applied for a charity (i.e. 'guaranteed') place for next year's London Marathon with Parkinson's UK (for whom Mrs Ben has run twice). I must be mental. I'm a long-term cyclist who only really got into running at the beginning of the year. Anyway, assuming you don't all think I'm an arse in the summer (or maybe especially if you do...), if I get a place, this thread will be sick to death of my linking to the inevitable JustGiving site! I'd have two frickin' grand to raise!!

Well, one thing you may have missed (as most of you do not scour this entire forum quite as obsessively as me...!) is a seemingly endless squabble between russycarps (I'm sorry, but despite him being a rude intolerant, he does make me laugh) and tonyblair (a bit of a tit) regarding the relative arguments of whether or not Pete Townshend is a paedophile. They have been at it with back and forth posts (á la Monty Python Argument Sketch) for hours and HOURS!

Otherwise, not much, except thurlow is pooped from sleeping terribly, and kellly has a dental abscess eating his/her face (apologies for gender ignorance, kellly!)

That's about it. I probably missed loads of important info. Oh yes, and I am leaving medicine as I am now redundant, replaced by a great new physician, Dr G. Oogle.

Lucy I leave Durham at 9pm and arrive in the carpark at approximately 2am. We get in the queue straight away and it has always been fun. Time to meet fellow glasto lovers and partake in the first cider tasting. Tent is usually up and firewood collected by 09:30. Time to enjoy the fest!
