Been for a walk and nothing really has changed down on the farm, the pyramid is skinned apart from its hat. Dee has some piccies including a vertical view under pyramid centre that worked quite well, she will put them up in a bit. We did have a chat with a bunch of lovely people carving new bits onto the totem pole for the tipi area. It will look good when put up.

Only other thing that pleased me was a Black Cap sang us a beautiful song on muddy lane. Also reportedly a Red Kite was seen over the Common. One for the bird watchers. Simple pleasures on a sunny Pilton afternoon.

Ooh I love a bit of twitching! Red kites are beautiful, we watched one at a friends house a few weeks ago, it was being chased by a crow!

Thanks, Dee - site looks beautiful.

Slightly lazy request, folks - how did it all go this morning for the NFR NFC Brigade?

I saw the phrase 'all sorted', which is brilliant, but having been out sine 9am, can I have an update from this morning's mayhem, please?

An update

The ticket gods are wonderful.

Everyone who wanted help and was on our list has tickets.

People who had never met each other were doing what the GF spirits loves and making sure others will go to the party.

It was superb especially that moment when you realise we have nobody left on the list!

That's bloody great news, matty!

Did most get their own or was there a nice smattering of NFR-ers helping others out?

As I had said, I would love to have been able to help, but was on rugby coaching duties...(we won 41-5, btw!).

I felt a mixture of real nervousness for those who needed luck, and a huge sense of community this morning. I rather feel that I might be long-term invested into this blooming' festival, and I haven't even yet walked through the gates for the first time!

One got her own........ but using my Credit card LOL

but most had their got by others.

In fact, the list of those from both today and October who had tickets got by others is rather long.

Some had tickets got by people they did not even know were trying to get tickets for them!!!!

The GF spirit is alive and well and gives back faith in humanity.

    • Yeah I don't think it's terrible, but it is solidly in the nostalgia category. Would be nice to see R2 get a little more recent in their choices, even 90s!
    • mmm... i note there are several derogatory comments about this... not sure what it says about me, but i could spend a happy afternoon here...   Simple Minds, Deacon Blue and Texas are all great live bands.   hell, i'd even be drawn away from the bar to see James Blunt (if only for a bit of a nostalgia trip for his show on the Pyramid that i admit i hugely enjoyed).   still, with all that said - there's no way i'm going to the other end of the country for it...   🙂
