@lucy

I suspect you've been before, but in case you haven't, then I'd thoroughly recommend going to the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

I have been there, it's lovely! I looked up the other place you suggested too, that looks great but I don't think we'll have time. I'm putting it on the things to do another time list.

Today we've been to look at St Michael's Mount (been to it loads so didn't this time), a pottery, and a couple of wells. Very nice. Almost time for dinner!

As for shorts, bugger that! It's chilly here!

Hi dee ho folks! Well jel of your trip Lucy loo boogaloo, been wanting to go to Tintagel for years. Hoping to make it next year.

In bad news dropped my phone twice today, second time has stuffed it. so can't take pics now. Sad face.

In good news, going to the Shapeshifter Ball on Saturday for the Bram Stoker festival. Can't wait, Young Fathers and East India Club performing. (both mercury music prize nominated)

And also managed to score a rare as hens teeth ticket for Royal Blood at the Academy on the monday. Really small venue so will be rocking.

Roll on Friday and Irish Bank Holiday weekend! Whoooop!

Hope everyone is doing excellently! :D

Bloody hell, that St Vincent is a bit mentally good isn't she?!!

She's on my 'note name, look at sometime soon' list.

Morning all, half term approaches, and Hallowe'en, which means extra Capital, and a trip round charity shops for costumes (but enough about me and Mrs CJ).

Gargle with honey, lemon and ginger? You've got 48 hours to get rid of this!

Hi guys. Cos my Dad is still ill i can't attend the St Vincent gig at Birmigham Institute tomorrow. The 2 tickets were a present from Mrs Woffy for my 40th.

If anyone wants them at face value £50ish for the pair and can collect them from Newbury / Thatcham / Basingstoke-ish way tonight or tomorrow afternoon, let me know.

Feel free to let others know.

Sorry for the short notice.

If no-one here can help you, have you tried twickets, or scarletmist to sell them more ethically than touts? I've tried the former and heard of the latter. Hope dad's better soon.

    • It was great, but I don't know why they continue to play Wide Lovely Eyes and Rings of Saturn, which are the weakest of the tracks off both PTSA and ST. Well, I do. It's cos they're about Suzie, so he can sing what he wants. They're the low points of the set. The rest is ace.
    • I didn't this time, but I've seen them before and just because you saw both that night doesn’t mean you can compare them. The Stones were great, but.you didn't think so and you went somewhere else looking for a good time and you found it. For whatever reason you didn't like it, but you were an outlier and all the reviews said they were great.
    • Annie Lennox could be the one to unite the whole forum, nobody has a bad word to say about her, even noted curmudgeon Skip 😄 I'd probably even amble along for a bit meself, and i'm also a miserable sod
    • If the below link works - thats interesting.   While I don't particularly put much stock in that account as a source (never seen it before though, tbf), and I can pick a hole or two (see below) in what he says - the timing of it is a week before I had the Fontaines '27 stadium info (same stadium he says on there, Tottenham). The info, or part of it, matches up.   Holes I'd pick: I'd have to watch again but I THINK he says 'end of year' for Tottenham - not possible, for a number of reasons, though he's probably just got his words mixed up there. It's Summer '27, or that's what I've been told. He also says Glastonbury is/would be based on how the album does. That doesn't stack up to me, unless it was a 2028 thing. I suppose that could stack up, i.e a verbal agreement for 2028, but still seems a bit of an odd approach. I would personally still expect it to be 2027 alongside the stadium gigs, IF they are gonna do it, though I've still not got a Scooby when the album is gonna drop, only that the tour is due for Spring (or early) next year.   Interesting, nonetheless.   https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaOB3Q9qkwW/
    • I was hoping that they would just do a tour like they were set to in 2020, rather than having Download as their UK appearance. If they are at DL, I would be surprised to see them headline. I think they sub under Deftones or SOAD
