Morning all, clear skies from this building's atrium today. Leeds has some beautiful buildings and interiors.

I can see how middle aged that sounds.... :-p

More tea, Vicar?

No thanks, makes me fart!

Now where is that from? I always thought it was Viz... a friend thinks its something like the Fast Show. Hmm.

ANd you don;t sound middle aged, you sound cultured, which is good :) Love a bit of architecture, me.

it's a micky take quoted from a Joan Hickson Miss Marple.

me and mrs cj are sarcastic about ourselves making those age noises getting up (not trumps tho lol), and searching for a 'nice café' on holiday. Our genes need modifying against the TurnIntoMyParentsitis. It's not all doom, we are constantly finding new enjoyable ways to embarrass our kids at gigs and other stuff. Way cool, daddio!

I know the sort of noises you mean! Also, I find I need to stand for a moment before starting to walk, or my legs don't work properly!!

Morning folks (just)

While I remember Matty have a fab time a larma tree, please report back on how you found it. Debbie really wants to go to this festival, on our list for next year.

Btw the list is getting quite long :)

I would like to try a couple of smaller festivals, I need lots of savings jars!! :)

That's our plan the smaller festivals next year as well as Glastonbury.

We have the savings jars set up already, we save £2 pound coins for Glastonbury it is surprising how much you get I think we had £600 this year.

We do the same with £2 coins, had about £460 this year. We bag them up in £20 bank bags put them all in the lock-ups and just take out however many bags we need each day, works well.

It is surprising how much you save and the best thing is you do not miss it.

True. Before this years festival I "cashed in" all the coins from 3 small penny jars around the house, we had just under £30! I was very surprised! I also save up my Nectar points to pay for the booze. Well, some of it ;)

    • So we've signed a Horny Czech, and Bruno's turned up the training camp instead of doing Isak's nonsense.   Still not sure I believe Bruno's staying mind, but glad he's not doing the sh*t Arsenal are asking him to do to lower the price. If they want him they can stump up.   My suspicion is that whichever of Madrid/Man City don't start next season with Rodri will go for Bruno, and one of them will come in while Arsenal have f**ked about trying to get him cheap, which while I absolutely want to keep him, would still be good enough bants and a nice middle finger that I wouldn't mind it so much. I just wish we'd report Arsenal for tapping up.   If rumours are to be believed, we're after 2 more defensive signings, and an attacking player, on top of a replacement if Bruno leaves, having already signed a LW, 2 CMs, a GK, and some youth players. Huge churn, but apart from a couple of Bazou Toure's games for Ivory Coast at the world cup, I've not seen any of them play. Over 2 summers we've basically changed our entire team aside from the CBs.
    • I think the level of headliners Bloodstock get is varied    There's been bands who have gone on to play Download in quite a low spot like Meshuggah, Behemoth, Opeth etc.    Then they've had years like 2025 where you can argue that all three headliners are download main stage sub level    Knocked Loose right now i'd argue are 3rd down on main/opus headliner level while EC and FFDP are borderline main stage sub
