I'm not totally gay but I'll happily visit gay-friendly places, not just because I want to support an area friendly to a community that's widely ostracised in society, but also because... those guys can DANCE!! Bring it on.

I am definately going to NYC Downlow this year. I didnt go the last 2 times I was in Glastonbury so this time I WILL be there

Fair play, I did miss that later comment. I still disagree with your opposition to gay only venues in general (I've personally never been to a gay venue that doesn't accept heterosexuals!), although I can understand why in the context of Glastonbury this would be unfair (considering we all pay the same amount for access to the same venues).

ive spent a night in the downlow every year since its been, always a great night and most interesting....

I am going to Glastonbury with a gaggle of gay blokes. I've never heard them mention NYC Downlow before. I'll inform them of it's significance. Thank you.

PS - I haven't been to the late night area in years so have no idea about the place at all. I did try to go in in 2011 but the queue to get in was a complete anathema to me.

I agree about queues but last year didn't seem bad, although the venue queues were horrendous. I had a moustache and tattoo yet still couldn't queue jump.

Glastonbury has areas themed / aimed to certain types of people, doesn't stop anyone going to them but they sure have them.
