I missed Bourbon Street last year, one of my favourit elittle places.

Looking forward to seeing Vintage Trouble, wheren't they on the same time as The Stones last year? Something daft like that. Maybe clashing with Blondie this year.

Also check out North Mississippi Allstars in the Avalon Tent (I know I will be, they're one of my "mus

Been listening to these today, thanks for the recommendation, they are superb. If the times are as expected, that means Dolly can do one, I'll be in Avalon.

Jonny Lang is playing Avalon. Saw him last month supporting Tedeschi Trucks Band in Paris. Check out the track 'A Quitter Never Wins' and tell me that's not the Blues.

Yep, I would also recommend Jonny Lang on the Avalon, really love his version of Cherry Red Wine!

So if theres no big AC/DC budget being spent, Glasto HQ need to dip into the delta and get some of this lot over. So many bluesmen around and real cheap! Fights also pretty cheap at this time of the year!

Also, the Suwalki blues festival is on in Poland the week following Glastonbury so a lot of them are in Europe and touring anyway

Seasick Steve always goes down a treat. Why not these guys? Time to get some blues at Glasto.

Cedric Burnside, RL Burnsides grandson.

Is that the guy from the North Mississippi All Stars on guitar? Cos we DEFO want them back. And give Vintage Trouble another shot. Lightning never strikes twice etc.

Hes not in the band but hes played with them yeah. Did he play with them at Glasto?

Certainly looks like one of the guitar players at Glastonbury. Though they all played guitar at some point during the set. And given their previous affinity with Burnside Senior

    • Brazil's first half was genuinely dreadful all round, not just the midfield, so they're absolutely not bulletproof. Whether Scotland have the quality to take advantage is a different question.   Tbf, that's as much on Morocco looking good, which I did think was a possibility. They could be a bit annoyed with themselves not to have scored more before Vini's goal tbh.
    • Surely nowadays with so much data analytics available on every division in world football and so much awareness that people aren't suckered in on the basis of a decent World Cup game... right?   Although tbf, from what I saw, Australia's game plan worked very well. But that was as much thanks to Turkey blowing varying opportunities given they created enough chances but couldn't finish, a la what happened with Switzerland against Qatar when they really could and should've won by 3/4 goals.
    • I missed Viagra Boys for a good spot for Gorillaz. Was a nice weekend and festival for me. Would definitely come back, if the line up is right. Get back home safe everyone.
    • The Last Temptation - new Heaven 17 documentary film directed by James Strong. Premiered at Sheffield Docfest this weekend.    I really enjoyed it. Affectionate, insightful, and honest. A nice mix of archival and footage, interviews and clips from the last tour. Martyn and Glenn are like an old married couple.   Plus a snippet of news from the Q&A, Martyn is recording new BEF material, and Phil Oakey has collaborated on the one of tracks. The film shows them meeting in Fagans for the first time in over 35 years.
