eFestivals
the Daily Star story - I am hearing that "it's horseshit".I believe that there's nothing of substance behind it other than Liam's tweet.
The Trickster
Hahaha. I've woken this this morning to find out that the standard of the Daily Star's journalists is "horse shit". There we go, who'd have thought? Thanks for the clarification and clear up though Neil (no sarcasm) Edited April 26, 2014 by The Trickster
garethsideas
That's good to know. The £500m gave it away a bit!! http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/latest-news/376150/Oasis-set-to-headline-Glastonbury-in-500m-comeback-deal
A Guy Called Matt
All those rich folks who bet on them after LG's tweet are a little bit less well off LOL
math125
In the interest of balance the day before this headline they did report it wasn't happening. So to be fair either way they have got it right. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/showbiz-tv/music/375989/Liam-Gallagher-hints-at-Oasis-reunion-in-tweets-that-MELTED-the-Internet
eFestivals
people round here know just how little the bookies know about who's playing, otherwise many of us wouldn't have been able to collect some free money from them.So the fact that the bookies have stopped taking bets only means they've taken lot of money on oasis and they're shutting off the risk of it being right - not that it is right. Alan_C
Why isn't Emily or someone denying it? It's obviously complete bullshit but it's become big 'news' over the last 36 hours. It's not as if they are in a situation where this Oasis rumour will help them sell all the tickets, they will go on Sunday morning no problem. mungo57
lol the bookies make me laugh sometimes they really do, they should keep the market open as its obviously 'horseshit' and take all the idiot people's money on Oasis and let the odds on Metallica lengthen as a result

mungo57
same here. That would have been a total anticlimax.
eFestivals
nice to know that it's definitely a load of shite though.hey, I can't say that. I can only tell you what i hear and what I believe. As far as I've been able to find out, there's no super-special info that The Star worked from in writing this story, and it's merely something they've cooked up from Liam's tweet. But that could be wrong. I don't have a fly on the wall in the editor's office, and for all I know someone at the star might have had a call from Emily or someone, to give them the lowdown. But I hugely doubt it. Glastonlocal
I can't quite imagine that the daily star would be the first on Emily's speed dial.

FloorFiller
the '500 million' thing still seems too ridiculous to be true, but i guess we shall have to wait and see
Ruwise
There is no way on earth that Glasto would give £500 million to any artist. I think Liam just wanted to entertain himself. Maybe seeing what kind of money he could get as he's probably a bit hard up now. I hope Noel is doing better and doesn't entertain the idea. Yesiamaduck
I can confirm Oasis will be at this years festival, they'll be playing the Ice Cream van.

zero000
the '500 million' number was more directed at their entire reformation, i.e. other shows, rather than just Glastonbury alone
