Breakfast & Cocktails

Afternoon,

I know we’ve got a fair few topics regarding food recommendations but wanted to know if anyone had any good places for getting a good breakfast and somewhere that sells decent cocktails?

I haven’t been since 2010 and my last trip composed mainly of standard bacon sandwiches and copious pints of ropey ale.

This year a fair few of us are going down and are hoping to make the Thursday into one big pub crawl and so we wouldn’t mind getting some decent scran before we partake.

Reading through the boards I see that they also sell cocktails on site (don’t know how I missed this last time) and wondered if you can buy these at most booze vendors or if people can recommend somewhere?

I woke up on my birthday in 2011 and was presented with a Bloody Mary!

My friend had brought all the bits required with her and got up before me to make it.... Was such a lovely start to a great birthday.... I don't remember buying a single drink that day.... Shame my birthday is on the Monday this year.....

There's somewhere that does such good breakfasts and I can't remember the name of it or where it is!! We managed to find it twice last year but never again! Bothers me every time I think about breakfast at Glastonbury haha.

It was a bus, a red one I think? The chef was at the side of the bus cooking the food fresh as it was ordered, and the bread was lovely thick hand cut bread. It was cheaper than most places and there was entertainment right outside it as there was a mini stage (watched someone juggling chainsaws when I was waiting one morning ).

It's definitely near circus, but I can't tell you where. Does anyone have any idea??

Stardustjunkie I think you're thinking of hurly built, right next to the circus tent. Gorgeous, but was up for sale recently so don't know if it will be there next year.

Fluffy Rock Cafe for both, not sure what time they start doing the cocktails but they are delicious (and if I remember rightly not to over priced!).

During the day, they have hatch open on one side doing fried egg rolls for a quid (might have been 2 quid last year... still excellent value!)

Last year we found a place that did really nice milkshakes, they weren't cheap but made us feel better. Before the drinking started again. From the Gully go towards the Sonic, it's before there on the right. The staff were hilariously slow and clumsy but then who isn't at that time? The main problem we had was remembering to eat past about three o'clock. For some reason we just totally forget...

    • 1. Baby Dave - Billy 2. A - Prang   Not really got round to listening to many more in May so not really fair to vote but shoutout to EPs from Bleech 9:3 - Bleech 9:3 & Villanelle - Measly Means
    • Guitarricadelafuente was bloody brilliant tonight. This is going to be a very Spanish focussed year for me. Rusowsky dragging out Las Ketchup on Saturday has the potential to be a Prima magic moment.
    • £112 for standard entry. No thank you.
    • Meanwhile Gracie Abrams is £92 for the cheapest with the average price around £160 for lower tier and £103 standing.   First time in a while I've gone from a definite yes to a definite no on price alone.   Amble was £31 this morning.
