I've always gotten the impression they are looking for glass/things from the "banned" list.

I don't think they care much about underagers.

Although saying that it's been over a decade since I was underage!

Depends, if it's quiet they will check nearly everyone, however if it's really busy they will let quite a few through without checking.

The vodka will have to be in plastic bottles as no glass is allowed, but if they do find it you should be fine, I went at 16 and 17 and both times got asked for ID, just said i lost it or didnt have it, got in fine. It's really only drugs there looking for. So stick them down yer pants mate,

Thanks guys, haha any tips on how to smuggle it in? Will they get suspicious finding wine bags filled with vodka?

Some amount of folk greeting in this thread. If you're not happy, sell your ticket. Otherwise go and make the most of what you've got.

Anyone, who thinks the line up this year is anywhere close to the halcyon days of 2009, 2010 is mental.....

Have a look, devil man is spot on....

I was at the lockers last year wearing a 2008 or 2009 t shirt, a few girls were reading the acts that played and couldn't believe the overall line up....

It is all about the Benjamin's to GE

Aye yer still going though so he won't change :)

TBH when I saw the map I got a little bit excited and nearly caved but then got my sensible back again pretty quickly. I really want to see the new site but with that line up I'd be blootered every day before I made it to the arena. Not that that is a bad thing but I can do that anywhere and save 500 sheets. In fact I may spend that weekend in a field with a carry out and an ipod in honour of T.

I first went aged 16 with a bottle of whisky and a bottle of vodka, and a crate of beer all in my bag. Made no attempt to hide it. As long as it's not in glass they're not really bothered. Just take cans for beer/cider, and put any spirits in plastic bottles. Enjoy what I presume is your first T!

One of my mates has offered me a free day ticket for the Friday but it would mean going up on my own. Never been to a gig on my own let alone a day at a festival. In two minds what to do.

Just go. Life's too short to spend it at home. The worst that can happen is that you spend all day watching bands on your own with no one to talk to. On the other hand you'll get talking to loads of people that you wouldn't normally be receptive to and make connections, friends and have a blast. I've been chatted up at T more times than anywhere else and wished I'd been on my own :) One time a group of girls propositioned me whilst I was pissing against a wall! We ended up doing rounds of vodka jellies and had a right laugh before I had to escape.

First time at T, usually do Leeds. What's the nightlife like? I've heard it's not the best but just wondering what there is actually to do after the stages finish for the day.

Not very much, Palm Stage was really good last year, although they seem to have ditched it this year.

So is there nothing like a silent disco or any campsite djs or anything along those lines?

Silent disco should be in sunset strip

lools like the tenents arms is going to be like the Palm stage with slam djs and should be open till 2.

Then the real party starts.......

Being honest, I was blanking it this year but my son convinced me it was "our thing" so I agreed as this is the first year he has paid for his own ticket from his hard earned lol....

I land at 01:00am on Friday morning, from holiday then head straight to Perth when I get up.....wondering about the new site

In total honesty the line up is gash, if it wasn't for the son thing it would be patched, and I would be joining you in the field with the iPod

I must have different music tastes but there is a lot of acts that I would like to see this year. Not as much as years before but still alot.

I agree with you. I love every act that headlines the main three stages but I do think there is not as much variety as past years

Quick question.. Do the burger vans at T give out boiling water for free/£1. Few pals were down at Leeds and said thistles the case. Just looking for way to save money this year, was hoping just to bring up a load of pot noodles etc

    • To be fair @Superscally barely mentions the running thing. Very quiet about it 😘
    • I guess we'll just have to wait until videos of the shows go up, but the fact that the standing is also greyed out still suggests to me that those sections just sold out out before the others and a blue block just be like 3 tickets left, it's still not concrete proof they never went on sale and if they were never on sale why would they not make it even, if 414 wasn't on sale then you'd think 409 wouldn't be either
    • Selfish, but I've done the 2 days I'm there.. i'll try to do the rest through the day but might get beaten to it as it's editable....    https://clashfinder.com/s/ape2026/
    • I don’t think the festival automatically ‘need’ to have a female headliner if you have strong female headliners on the Other Stage (which I reckon will be Rosalia and Phoebe Bridgers), perhaps a female legend (praying for Annie, will take Cher), and a few female/mix gendered subs on the Pyramid (maybe London Grammar, The xx). From what I’ve seen of Sabrina, her team prioritises the pay day and I think she will be doing Wembley over Glasto weekend.   One thing I’ve noticed is a lot of the suggestions would be first time headliners and I can’t work out when the last time was that the festival had three artists top the bill that hadn’t topped it before? It seems to be something they like to do to make sure they have a ‘safe’ headliner that will land well with the masses. Plenty of names in that hat that could step back up next summer and should/could be about: Billie Eilish, Adele, Foo Fighters, The Cure, Radiohead, U2…hell, if Beyoncé is really planning to release a ‘rock n roll’ album to complete her Renaissance trilogy, Glastonbury would be a great place to ‘kick off’ that campaign for her.   And there’s always the Rihanna rumour. Her husband (I think) said this week she’s in the studio.
    • And all (or all but one) of the secret sets repeats though?
