Will there be announcements for the resale(s)?

I seem to recall in previous years they were in dribs and drabs a few here and there and unannounced?

how was it last year..just one resale and no small unannounced ones?!

will that page checker be any use to see whenm the page changes?

There are some apps - watch my page /page watcher that check web sites for changes. Unfortunately the free version only checks once a day. the paid one can check several times an hour [or at least once an hour]. Best bet is to join a bunch and when the word gets out ... as ever with this there will be winners and losers...

There haven't been any reports of tickets going secretly on sale since 2010, I don't think :( (That's actually how i got mine that year  Thanks to a chap on here, who set up email alerts when they went back on sale!). They seem to have closed that hole though and just put all the tickets into one batch on resale day!

So after removing the sick out of my mouth from missing out on tickes for the first time.. realised how lucky I have been before.. now have to go through the cold months and await the dreaded resale.. so with that in mind, and with the fact that people have got there hands on tickets and while its still fresh in peoples minds, I am thinking of my stragtegy for April.. yep April.. again more sick in my mouth thinking of missing out again.. so from i have heard the following options worked...

1) Use single tab or a varitey of browsers?

2) Try using 3G connection if broadband is timing out?

3) Try phoning in

4) Anything else.. oh in the words of del boy "be lucky"

The thing with all the tabs which we learnt as we thought it would be a good idea to use multiple lap tops is that unless you are using a different wifi connection there's no point as you are just slowing it down.

3G connection is a good idea- don't know why i didn't bother

I looked at my phone record and rang the ticket number over 300 times yesterday morning- i think that is simply pot luck

Just going to have to keep an eye and an ear out for any resales and not screw my nose up at coach tickets like i did last thursday....if only!!

But lets all enjoy our christmas and worry about this all next.

In my mind I am still planning on going to Glastonbury, so all is not lost.

Use Firefox with the Check4Change add on. You can check every 10 seconds for free and plays a snippet of Bowie's Changes when there is a change.

You really need something that can send an email though, otherwise besides running the computer 24 - 7 you'll have to be sitting there too. Follow That Page is internet based (so you don't need to have your computer on) and will check hourly for free, but it'll cost 20 for one year to check every 10 minutes.

Then all you've got to do is set up an email to sms service.

It didn't make any difference for this year's resales, but next year who knows?

I followed http://glastonbury.seetickets.com/Event/GLASTONBURY-2013-DEPOSITS/Worthy-Farm/700000 last year, which was the short cut to the booking page last October. It now redirects to the holding page and this is what landed in my inbox at 10:52 yesterday.

The page http://glastonbury.seetickets.com/Event/GLASTONBURY-2013-DEPOSITS/Worthy-Farm/700000 has changed since the previous check.

Glastonbury Festival 2014

- The Glastonbury Festival ticket booking site is currently processing

- the maximum possible number of transactions per second.

-

- The Twitter feed below will give you all the latest news on the ticket

- sale (including when tickets have sold out).

-

- You are waiting at this holding page (which will refresh automatically

- in 20 seconds) until a space on the booking page becomes available.

- You can attempt to access the booking page more frequently by manually

- refreshing your browser. As soon as one transaction is completed the

- next person will be allowed on to book.

-

- Please note, attempting to book tickets on multiple browser tabs can

- lead to transaction errors. This is because most web browsers do not

- create a separate user session per tab - information is shared between

- all tabs for any given web site. We strongly advise that you use a

- single browser tab only when booking tickets.

-

- Don't forget that bookers from the UK can only pay using a debit card.

- International bookers can only pay with credit cards.

+ Ticket deposits have now sold out.

Hey guys,

As I've said elsewhere this will be my fourth Glasto in a row. This is the only year we have got tickets in the first sale. We got 12 tickets with 8 of trying. The more people you have trying the better your chances.

I just wanted to say don't give up, you have a few more tries yet! Everyone I know who really goes for it gets a ticket in the end. Remember my fourth time and only got tickets through first sale once (this year). Good luck all!
