I guess "mess up" is relative. With the ticket page being hard to access, 120000 tickets sell. If we could all get through first time... 120000 tickets sell. The only difference would be the tickets selling out in one minute instead of 87. And the same fraction of people would actually see the payment stage.

thing is, it's not a fair system if some people can make multiple orders whilst the system kicks others out. chrome and firefox died on my computer - they completely refused to load any seetickets links. got the 'enter registration' page on my phone at about 9.30 - refreshed it constantly - and it never went through.

congrats to those who got tickets. the system continues to mystify me.

2 ipads, 2 phones, 1 desktop machine, 3 browsers, Twitter #efests, Efest chat . I got the holding page from 7am to 8.58 - then everything went blank and I never saw another holding page again. I even thought my browsers were faulty - but as soon as the tickets sold out - hey presto, I finally got back on the site to see the Sold Out screen on all my browsers and device - what a hideous experience

Even though this is the first time I haven't got tickets in a squillion years and I am super sad, I don't think they could really run the system any better. It is what it is. It's always going to be based on luck (well, 80% luck, 20% determindation and base animal cunning).

I was trying to get tickets for other people as well. Clicked buy tickets and it came up that some people in my list already had tickets. Kept clicking buy tickets but it completely threw me out and I had to start again.

Surely it should have let me go through anyway :(

it does seem you either get nowhere and other people get a zillion tickets. I I only got through once and then crashed - Two of our 7 got coach tickets on Thursday and not a glimmer of hope today!! The only reason I did not go for those tickets is that ive two young kids and its not fair on them to trap them on a coach. The internet is not a magic wand as the first half hour at See proves - I still think there should be an alternative say cheques in the post or a little gnome atop glastobury tor - or a proper phone system - right now....volunteering........

Got to the reg details page at 9.45. entered details and kept trying to move on. no luck for half an hour, then kicked back to the beginning! What a shit system. Surely it can't be hard to make it straightforward once people get into the booking system?

    • Remain self-imposed on not going north of a hundred, but... we're getting to the point now where the starting gun will be above that for some acts.
    • I'm finding the lower line up a little impenetrable this year   Any thoughts on heavier bands a la Slift a few years ago?
    • Will be curious to see how most of those shows sell. Surprised they're playing Leeds and Manchester - much as I am with Megadeth. (Not complaining, mind you.)
    • Biffy Clyro back again for R+L then 😁   To be fair, Biffy Clyro still one of the true "coup" bookings they've had here. Not implausible another Victorious headliner ends up in the mix, given Ashcroft has done it before. Maybe Kasabian, on the back of their arena run?
