Is it just me that doesn't really see the foos at glastonbury working?

I can just imagine dave running on stage doing his thing and the older dem of the glasto crowd grunting and moaning.

Yeah his "are you fucking readyyyy"x10 works for reading and T, but I could see it falling flat at glastonbury.

Don't take it personally, always seems like such an odd point/argument to try and make.

I was gonna say that I think the argument is pointless anyway because it always ends up boiling down to album sales/sell out crowds/the old favourite facebook likes etc., it was just more querying rather than trying to argue the point

Incorrect. They have so many hits under their belts they'd nail it. Metallica, of all bands, nailed it, despite having far fewer well-known songs and making everyone stand around for 10 fucking minutes watching a pointless, shite intro video.

It works for every other frontman that does the exact same thing. You're talking about Glastonbury like it's Green Man or something, and you've been which makes your statement kind of baffling.

That intro video was pure banter after the hunting controversy. I've never grinned so much at a gig.

Oh yeah, I know what it was about, I just think it was way too long and not brilliantly executed.

I think I'm just bitter that I missed the second half of Pixies to get there on time for them and ended up just getting that for my troubles :/

Holy shit, it sounds like it belongs on self titled. All of a sudden I'm actually excited for the new album, drumming is insane, whoever they've got to replace Joey has done a great job.

Although Cory's screaming seems a bit off. Not as guttural, a bit more shouty. I like it though.

    • That's fair on WA - I did recall people thinking Fontaines would take this year off before this was announced.    On the subject of Wolf Alice, they did Lollapalooza in Chicago on Saturday then Kendal Calling last night. Bit of an odd choice, no? Half imagine at Kendal that they would've been just exhausted.
    • Just logged onto the app to start planning my days and there really are a LOT of stages missing. Apart from the Seaside Stage there is no Casemates this year etc. Apart from the Seaside Stage, there are no Casemates this year, etc. Can't see anything about the kids field really. And there's local acts that are normally there like Kojak's Revenge that aren't appearing either.  Normally we get down fairly early but I can't see anything before 3pm I'm keen to see. Only one real clash as well, which is good, but it's thin and it's not thin in the sense of "I've seen a lot of these acts before"
    • Lifelong Carlisle United supporter here.🤦‍♂️ Good luck for the coming Season and see you in October!
    • Any other lower league/non-league supporters on here? It’s all change at my team, Aldershot Town. We’ve released 25 players and the new manager has brought in 21 or 22 completely new players. Going to be an interesting gamble.   There’s a little video here on the reasons why:
