Lineup 2015

What about drug use in non-electronic dance music? I heard that ballroom show on the telly is rife with the contestants getting mashed before the performances.

It's different drugs tho, for EDM you're taking E pills and E cigs where as everyone else just does coke and speed.

Download will have Foo Fighters next year so will be fine.

Why would the first festival they play off a new album be Download? They've never bothered with it before.

Probably IOW and V or Glastonbury.

Foals said Bestival will be their last for a while; if they don't play this year then their next R+L show is headlining.

Probably for that exact reason. They've never done it before & next year will be the perfect opportunity.

You can have four naked pints if they do Download, as well as your one for Metallica doing R+L.

It's the same as Muse doing Download off a new album instead of the other festivals available. There are much more appropriate festivals for their fanbase that pay more and can get their album a lot more promotion.

Like dental said Metallica will probably be at Download and if not do R&L want an act that played Soni the year before and will do Download in 2016 (if they didn't play Download next year).

I highly doubt they'll care about where Metallica are gonna play the year after...

pop colours init

I'm joking, but Foos are definitely more Download than they are V. I guess they could do Soni.

Musically they are and probably with regards to fanbase too, but I'd have them as more likely to play V any time soon.

mrtourette explained it very well at one point but I have no idea which board to even begin looking in.

I think now the 'five year rule' is out of the window then Muse are probably fair candidates; less so Foos and Kasabian but who knows?

I think The Black Keys or The Vaccines will step up next year. Mumfords probably won't have an album out by next year's fest. Florence - if she does Glastonbury this year then I can see her being in demand everywhere next year; if she doesn't then I think R+L might bump her up.
