Bootlegs 2013

Not sure what i'm supposed to get out of that. I love bootlegs as much as the next guy! Seeing as bands have to get permission from the venue and record company to even record their own songs, i'm pretty sure we aren't allowed to record concerts and distribute them, but I'm not complaining. I guess making a profit is also different from freely distributing.

Completely off topic (sorry) but which nights are you at Hammersmith for Nick Cave, Russy? I'm going on the Saturday. Hilarious that the tickets say "Under 15s Must Be Accompanied By An Adult"!!! Surely they should say "Under15s Not Within 50 Miles Of This Savage Mother-Fucker".

ha well the NMH album is so universally loved I sort of wanted to hate it, but you just cant. It's incredible. The title track, In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, is just unbelievable, especially so when you learn about the anne frank connection. There is a youtube video of that song with photos of anne over the top, it's incredibly moving

here it is

    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
    • 6music just shared a video of all of Fontaines DC singing along to the Cure last night. It'll be them. Booooo    Olivia might get up for I Love You though...
