I think i'll just dibs for the first line. It's my fave of any 'pome' ever!

I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness,
starving hysterical naked,
dragging themselves through the negro streets at dawn looking for an angry fix,
angelheaded hipsters burning for the ancient heavenly connection to the starry dynamo
in the
machinery of night,

who poverty and tatters and hollow-eyed and high sat up smoking in the supernatural darkness of cold-water flats floating across the tops of cities contemplating jazz...

Bit of the w** stuff today, it's quite damp out there. Cat brought us a baby bird not long ago, it was still alive so we rescued it and put it outside. Cat is licked inside. After a phone call to the pdsa for advice, bird is in a box with some padding and a little hot water bottle in the hopes its mummy comes to find him. Unlikely I know, but we don't want to commit murder!

Other than that, all good here. I'm really tired though. Ooh and Springwatch is on tonight, hooray!

Hello all. I haven't been up long so not sure what the weather was like here earlier. It's overcast and miserable out there now though. It has obviously been r***ing at some point too. Typical bank holiday weather really. I'm inclined to run with H.M.V.'s theory that the Weather Gods are getting rid of their water reserves now so that we will have glorious weather at the festival. Yes, I think they may very well have started doing their bit on behalf of us believers. All hail the Weather Gods. NFR NFC

Thanks Woffy. The cat went for a sulk behind the curtain, has wailed A LOT and now is asleep. Little shitbag. She's still cute though.

Will check on bird in a bit but I suspect he has gone to bird heaven. I can't work out what sort of bird he is either, i love watching them so will have a look in my bird book.

      I mean I think unless you are camped in a particular bit which apparently you just get no sleep i feel it would be better setup to travel in from a hotel each day and back. Ah there is so many downfalls to it for me, I think the Download main stage area is so much better and that's coming from me. If you're camped in green to go round all the time and out for lidl and even water is stupid!
