Help pics of me!!! I have none of you!

HMV was well oiled and was front and centre for Mr B

Lucy and others sat outside C Neuf chatting and smiling. Ali Debbie and me were near front for Mr B

Didn't see HMV after..... though she did text me but I got it a day late LOL

I have some serious sunburn all over my forehead and nose so I would say it was a partial success! I'm at the airport in my last pair of semi clean clothes feeling very jealous of all of you who have had showers!

I certainly did!

Sending virtual hugs to your Dad - hope all goes well.

We may not have had it our way all weekend but just think what a "mud bath" (to use a BBC phrase) it could have been without our efforts!

Pity I didn't get to party with all you lovely folk more.....but if you're at my village fete again next year I'll look out for you

My view, for what it's worth.

Those weather people forecast it, so what are the Gods to do?

Without us, it would have been a Noah event.

My view anyway...

    • Its just going to be another dementia tax isn't it? The issue is this is going to be seen as a continuation of the labour government that have already raised taxes 1000% above manifesto promises.
    • One thing that Burnham has been talking about is scrapping inheritance tax and replace it with a social care levy ... which would be less progressive, but might be a good idea if was a solution for the social care crisis. Would need to sell it well to a public who would prefer not to pay more tax.
    • Maybe you should put your name forward to be Burnham's chancellor.
    • But I think the point of that Dan Needle tax thing...we need to put up income tax, for all incomes (and thresholds should be unfrozen).
    • There are no easy answers...more than anything we need growth...and probably main ways of getting that is borrowing more to invest in stuff that makes us super sexy, and/or cut taxes on business and wealth generation which would mean less money to spend on public services and welfare and would obviously be super unpopular and get you chucked out of govt. On top of all that got an aging population, a growing welfare bill, a call for higher spending on defence, housing inequality, higher borrowing costs, and probably a load more sh*t on the way due to the Iran war (although so far it hasn't been that bad?)
