Said it before, but I can't see Radiohead being in contention at all. Atoms For Peace are touring till November, and they'd have to get a new album out and be on the road in six months....

My prediction (which no doubt will be completely demolished after tomorrow's announcement) is Elbow - Fleetwood Mac - Stone Roses or Kasabian

Emily Eavis said something about how Led Zeppelin and Adele were at the top of her list of dream headliners. I may be completely wrong, but to me, that sounds like she doesn't have any of them lined up for next year but instead, is trying to increase her chances of getting them in the future.

People who are saying Led Zep I seriously can't see it happening, i think Emily was just saying that they were a 'dream'. Would be surprised if they ever ended up doing it, only if they made some sort of comeback

After missing out this year, excitement is rising for next year now... If its someone like led zep (who are mentioned pretty much every year it seems) it would be amazing but I really hope it stays out of the press until after ticket day. Same for seeing pink floyd reforming.

Tom waits at the festival would be great too, although I seem to recall reading on here a few years back its very unlikely.

On a separate note, why does everyone get so worked up about predictions and wish lists on these boards? Sure, everyone has their view on what Glastonbury means to them, and should be about, but why does this mean endless discussions about who is right or wrong for Glastonbury? (Glastos general connection with efests aside) It's not as though Emily and Michael are on this website every day saying "oh, some random person said online we should have cannibal corpse, lets do that!"

'The Rolling Stones will never play Glastonbury.' - Countless people before 2013.

If - massive if though - Led Zeppelin reformed next year, then I don't see why Glastonbury wouldn't be considered by 'em. Wasn't around the first time or for many of the reunions as a matter of fact, so how big do people reckon the crowd would be if they did do it?

Slightly smaller than the Stones, the same?

Wow, obviously realised that Led Zep were massive but I thought they'd be on a par with the Stones in terms of crowd. If they played, it'd be a serious health and safety issue then! :sarcastic:

Can't see it happening though as much as I'd like to, I think they've already quashed rumours of a 2014 reunion in places. Also, Glastonbury probably wouldn't be #1 priority.

    • Maybe hopeful but get Knocked Loose on the Sunday opposite the legend. Similar to the slot Turnstile had in 2022. Would be absolutely phenomenal.
    • One of my personal favourite bands at the minute - MUNA. Was very surprised not to see them booked in 2023 with their last album but hopefully they'll be around next year. Very fun new album from these guys and, as aforementioned, another standout for me at Big Weekend.
    • Absolutely second this. Were great at Big Weekend and already have a great catalogue of songs forming so far. Would love to see them on the farm!
    • A mixed first day for us. First of all, we were honestly quite shocked that there was no security check at all at the VIP entrance around 7:30 PM. No bag check, nothing. I’ve attended Primavera many times over the years and this felt surprisingly lax for an event of this size. Did anyone else experience the same?   Another disappointment was the communication regarding the weather situation. Primavera has some of the best sound systems and speaker setups in the festival world, yet somehow they were not able to make a single clear announcement explaining what was happening. Instead, people were expected to read tiny messages on screens in Mordor while thousands were left wondering what was going on. A simple and direct audio announcement would have gone a long way.   On a lighter note, this guy absolutely made my day. Sitting right in front of the Estrella Damm terrace, wearing nothing but a long-sleeve shirt, jeans and a pair of Converse All Stars, he remained completely unbothered by the rain. While everyone else was looking for shelter, he sat there wearing sunglasses, calmly watching the crowd as if he was watching a movie.   Absolute main character energy!
    • I think my party got pretty lucky last night, at least compared to some of the horror stories over on Reddit. I was very impressed with Father John Misty in particular.   Perhaps my view would be different if I were a big Massive Attack fan or whatever, but right now my feeling is that if it's not safe for the shows to go ahead... then it's not safe for the shows to go ahead. I'd much rather they were cautious than roll the dice when it comes to something like that.    Here's hoping everyone has a better day today.
