Some questions from a newbie

Please don't just do feral toileting! The Green Police will be after you because polluting the stream can cause serious licence problems for the festival and do bad things to the wildlife.

There are masses of loos, including the shee-pee ones for women.

4pm is way too early, go an enjoy something else. Last time we wanted to be in the front pen for u2 and went in between biffy and morrissey BUT there were lots of people and lots of space between morrissey and u2. In terms of needing a pee, be strategical and perhaps do what im going to do this time, drink wine or something stronger than lager and you wont need a wee half as much (ish).

Also dont just go to the festival for the arctics, yes it will be good (my 4th time seeing them as well), but last time i was looking forward to some acts loads and in the end the best bits where mainly random bits and pieces that occurred over the weekend.

ahem..and I quote (the fine guide):

"And please don’t pee in the streams and hedges – if you’re spotted you’ll be invited to discuss the value of a clean water supply and an unpolluted environment with one of ourcharity partners, Greenpeace, Oxfam and WaterAid. They can’t wait to meet you."

One of the wonders of festivals is in the urinals sometimes they are placed back to back, and they only go up to about chest height. So you can find yourself face to face with some stranger.

I've several times dared my friends to a) make eye contact for as long as possible, and B) lean forward as though going in for a kiss..

I have no idea how anyone could live with themselves after that!

At Leeds festival one year I was stood in a queue for the portaloos in the arena when a dark patch appears on the short shorts of the girl in front of me. It then began to trickle down her legs to be collected in a puddle in her wellies! She was so wasted that she didn't even notice and carried on queuing when she clearly didn't need to go any more.

I have a newbie question and I don't want to start a new thread.

From looking at photos of Glastonburys past, I've seen a lot of people with yeovalley canvas tote bags. Do they give these away free on site? Could come in handy!

You wanna try T in the Park! Toilet anywhere you like there. The women are worse than the men. It's grim. Mate of mine was at a urinal, girl walked up and just sorta perched over the edge. He casually looked round at her and said 'you look like a classy burd, any chance o a date?'

    • Wednesday is a nice addition imo
    • Kronenberg in a tent as well IIRC but Brooklyn Pilsner was easier to get without queueing and was everywhere across the festival.
    • I think they'll end up doing something due to pressure and bad PR. Maybe they do a discount code for next year or bar credit or something along those lines.    I agree though. I acknowledge that the lineup is huge but surely you can't cancel 33% of the headliners and not reimburse in some way. Their insurance will probably cover their fees for MA, Doja, Bad Gyal and Mac DeMarco due to force majeure.
    • Looks like nothing for weekend ticket holders. You'd expect a goodwill gesture.
    • Enough has been covered about how much of a sh*t show that was, so I'll just say, Massive Attack and it's relationship with this festival (and potentially me) are f**king cursed.    They were announced in 2020 when I first got excited about seeing them. They were subsequently on the poster for 21, 22 and now 26. This time I was in actually in the crowd close to the stage waiting for them twice haha. I give up!
