And the biggy, The Rolling Stones, well was certainly a you had to be there moment, 1 of the best things I have witnessed. I know people have said it wasn't good on the TV, but trust me its just not the same.

seeing them this saturday, avoided seeing the tv footage so it would all be a surprise, glad to hear they were good

I thought (from TV) Arctics were the best headliner. Alex Turner was on great form - Jo Wiley kept saying he seemed to be channelling Elvis - but did anyone else see the resemblence to a young Joe Strummer?

I was brought up with the Stones and would've seen them 100% although I have to say I would've probably split my time with Public Enemy.

Mumford killed that performance, I hated them before that set, they can play R&L now if they want, bugger off V ;)

They were good but they weren't as good as they should have been IMO.

I dont think V would have Arctics as I think R&L will get them, but I think V having Mumfords is a pretty good shout

Arctics show at Glasto kinda had a R&L feel all over it. Mumford is a tough one - it's them or Kasabian.

i actually think after all this album possible at number one again that v will chuck everything into it and kinda agree with someone the other day with reading having one of glasto but not both.

But i guess thats if arctics actually do reading

you may be right mate. i did think they would do reading, i still don't rule kasabian out though, they wouldn't be the 1st band to return after only 3 years, both the killers and KOL were. would they return to the likes of 07, 08, 09, 10 and even 12 in some aspects? when you look at it, V headers since 2007 at least have tended to be rock bands except for one in 11 and 13. would they go for Kasabian (if glasto don't offer) - exclusive and KOL (T sharer and maybe Wireless too?)

dont think KOL will do T next year.

Kasabian bombed at HRC in terms of ticket sales. Unless their new album is great i can see them taking a year off festivals.

Coldplay and Mumfords for Vis what I think. If its them I may even go

I hope your right as I guessed the same, but I dont think V would go for them both I think it would be one of them and a Kasabian or Killers type band but I hope im wrong

Go into one of the 2014 threads in the glasto forum and say that. I wouldnt watch them if they headlined I would find somewhere else to go, but they are seen to be strong enough to headline by a mile. Didnt they sub Glasto last time and performed well, having an album out soon apparently and are close to the Eavii

i don't go into the glasto forums and say anything, they're nutters

i'd be surprised if elbow did headline glasto but i guess it's not that farfetched, i doubt they would headline v though, i reckon most teenage v fest goers hate them/havent heard of them. they're my nan's favourite band lol and if it was down to her to choose the lineup you'd have hall & oates, take that, phil collins, elbow and adam lambert ;)

Yeah I get the impression they are very into 'proper music' :P

I think Elbow would headline Glasto but V wouldnt want to go for them as now they are changing their demographic to be alot more pop which suits me :D I think for V they would either go Mumfords and a heavier band, or Mumfords and a solo act but I cant see it being Coldplay and mumfords (as much as I would love that)

Elbow are rumored to be at Glasto, does V usually share a headliner with Glasto? Doubt V would get Elbow

Not as much as Glasto share with T. Glasto and V haven't shared since 08 I don't think and then random odd years before that.

Glasto and T, defo since T has been 3 days don;t failed to share - in 07 and 11 there was even two although 1 was subbing at T and was due to at Glasto too.

Coldplay do what they want, they don't need festivals like V. They won't accept.

They'll have their album out next year which makes it less likely, then the 2 years after they'll have a world tour.

    • Another note, if I didn't mention the food in the arena for main stage is right at the back. Bands wise they do very well for but as a festival so far they pros are outweighed quite heavily currently for me.
