at all festys you get these type of shops, but ive never used one.

How much of a rip off are they?

Do they sell spirits?

Im trying to pack super light this year, so if i can buy stuff there i will. I dont mind paying more as your paying for convenience but theres a limit!!

I've never seen an offie type shop at any festival,it would take away the revenue from the bars.

If you mean bottles of spirits then the problem would be glass presumably? I'm sure there will be folks selling premixed cans on site though.

I'm coming by coach, for the first time ever, so I'm also travelling much lighter.

The 24 hour 'supermarkets' at Glastonbury sell fags, tobacco, papers, lighters, toothbrushes, bog roll, tissues, tampons, soft drinks, milk, bread etc etc.

Basically they sell essentials and not everything, the kitchen sink & alcohol.

If you want alcohol on site you'll need to get it from a bar in pints.

i think there are 2 "supermarkets" at glasto but they DO charge so bare that in mind

The shops at glastonbury are not much bigger than a market stall. But they are well stocked with camping and survival essentials. They are more expensive than regular shops (which I don't consider a rip off considering the logistics of supplying a festival site). You are much much better of bringing what you need onsite and using these outlets for emergency supplies only.

They don't serve any alcohol. If you want cheap booze, carry it on site with you. Otherwise its the bars, at bar costs. There are still one or two dodgy geezers going around selling tinnies, but unlike the old days, these appearances are very rare, and it can't be relied on that you will see even one during the whole festival.
