Major Lazer THEN Public Enemy!

I am personally guilty as many of you may be of being a bit of a Pyramid/Other Stage-hanger from late afternoon until close on my five previous visits to Glasto. I always say that I'm going to wander but end up too "drunk" to move. THIS YEAR IS GOING TO BE DIFFERENT!!! All of my mates (including my wife) are watching Primal Scream/Stones but I've seen the Stones before(not really impressed) and the chance of seeing Public Enemy is too much of a draw for moi. Now added to the mix in Major Lazer. I'd heard of them but I didn't know much so I YouTube'd them performing at Coachella. It was absolute carnage and I have to say it's going to be this year's Dizzee/2010 moment. Cannot wait y'all!!!

Genuinely not wanting to urinate on any bonfires here but I saw Public Enemy at Bestival and they were about one step up from dreadful, I had looked forward to seeing them for absolutely ages and when they came on it was just stale. I have heard good things about their shows in the past so perhaps they had an off day, Major Lazer will be all sorts of fun though, I will probably be begrudingly watching Primal Scream and the Stones on Saturday night!

Dizzee 2010/11 was pretty much the same with him and yer man shouting over the backing track. But after seeing ML at Coachella you can tell that they can certainly work the big crowd. I hope I'm right, if not my punishment will be to watch Mumford & Sons on Sunday. Fingers crossed everyone......

As much as I worship the Public they are an inside venue band. Outside at a festival where half the crowd can wander onwards when they get bored with the shouting won't be impressive for anyone, let alone competing with the Stones. I'm glad they've got a top slot at Glasto but maybe in the afternoon on the pyramid would have been better.

Dizzee played about half of the set with a band, then they disappeared. I distinctly remember because Guthrie Govan, arguably one of the current great guitarists was playing for him at the time. I arrived at the set late but extremely excited to see one of my favourite guitarists before he wandered off and Dizzee went solo. Pretty gutted, but it ended up being an good show, Dizzee definitely knows how to work a crowd.

I also saw Public Enemy at Bestival, and to be honest, I just found it the same as Snoop back in 2010. Alright for a while and then it just got really boring, so I went somewhere else.

I'm still undecided on the Rolling Stones? Whilst I think it will be one of those 'I was there' moments. Apart from a few classics, I'm not fussed either. Depends who's playing elsewhere at the same time?

Definitely want to see Major Lazer though, especially due to where it's at.
