BoomTown have now introduced a monorail - I see no reason why Glastonbury couldn't have the same thing:

I am not joking here, there are plans to make an 'Avalon Monorail' link by 2016 at the cost of $200,000,000. CEO Justin Giddens stated-;"The monorail could drop passengers at several stops, including an enhanced retail precinct, and workers at...maintenance facilities."

Mr Giddings estimated-;"(the) rail service...could cost commuters...$2...a trip, making Avalon an affordable alternative gateway...for budget-conscious backpackers, families and tourists."

Transport Minister Terry Mulder confirmed an Avalon monorail was on the table.

"I'll be very interested to see the types of options that the study team comes up with and am happy to consider a monorail or any other viable option that will get the job done," he said.

A monorail is also backed by the Victorian Employers Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Transport Tourism Association.

i thought it was a bit much last year when they insisted you removed your wellies and stuck them in the coach at the end so they did not get mud on the velvet upholstery.
