2 fine updates!

Ha ha, yes indeed!

A reminder of what this little labour of love is about: a playlist of all the confirmed/self-confirmed/TBC/strongly rumoured Glastonbury 2015 acts, with the 5 songs that crop up most on each act's recent gig setlists/tracklists (3 for the smaller acts), updated as we get news. At this stage it's a best guess of who's going to be there and what they're going to play.

Has anyone ever stumbled across a 'new to you' band on these playlists. And then since gone on to purposely see them perform at the festival?

A few that have got me interested but one in particular last year (Danny and The Champions of the World) had me buying the latest CD and going to see them on the Acoustic.

Absolutely, found loads putting these together. Last year included Shaolin Afronauts, who were awesome, and Crystal Fighters, who'd pretty much passed me by until then - and about whose performance I annoyingly don't remember much... Also useful for bands you do know of course, to listen to the tunes they play most.

Added Palma Violets, Gregory Porter, Mann Friday and DJ Jimi Needles.

Last year:

  • Bomba Estero - absof*ckinglutely chevere on Sonic
  • Lee Thompson Ska Orchestra - on West Holts - fantastic, and they bought on Dawn Penn for No, No, No Nooooo

Almost certainly would have missed them if it hadn't been for Brave Sir Robin.

Added Ben Howard, Wilko Johnson, Phuture, Leon Vynehall, Public Service Broadcasting, St Paul & The Broken Bones, The Voyeurs to Glastonbury 2015.

Thanks for the kind words Chazwozza, Klipper and Chewie. Also very glad to hear people have discovered great acts via these playlists - the quality spread across all genres in the lineup never fails to impress me.

    • Really well done, Primavera. Maybe the biggest name on the lineup as a surprise. (Ecpecially if Robert joins this)
    • There's one way it can get bigger- if Robert Smith joins her on stage
