roughly about half of the festival, i think, following the footprint that it covered in the late 80s/early 90s if you can find an old map to compare.

when onsite, if there's longdrops, it's Eavis land, highdrops and portaloos are probably not Eavis land (at least that is what i was told and questioned no further).

Ah right makes sense. The longdrops are permanent fixtures (well the pits are) I guess?

Aaah, in that case I technically have never used a 'longdrop'. Highdrops all the way for me - I like spying on people's feet to see which ones are free and highdrops are most common in the fields I camp in.

I once went for a shit in a longdrop at Leeds hanging out of my arse on a Sunday morning. I opened the door of the one I chose and all I saw was a massive shit next to the hole, like one of the biggest shits id ever seen. Someone must have stood on top of the seat, kneeled down and curled one out on top of the long drop.

I instinctively just shouted "seriously, what the fuck!" and from the cubicle next door someone replied "Yeah I saw that, its pretty bad aint it?"

God I love festival toilets.

I think from one of the documentaries, that have been on over the years, that he now owns more land than he used to that the actual festival is situated on and car parks and small bits of the festival site are rented from neighbors ?

On the subject of portaloos, I remember at Reading 09 I used a portaloos and when I turned roud to leave I noticed that someone had written the word 'shit' in shit on the door.

In 2010 I overhead someone camping about 3 feet from those high drops complaining about the smell. She sounded genuinely surprised.
