Maximo are playing Galtres too (they didn't do much for me at KC either if I'm honest), and they've announced Reef for the Friday, not going to bother with it this year.

11 days to Bearded now, really looking forward to it, had our Levellers and The Farm cd's out of the garage, forgot how much i liked The Farm back in the day. Interested to see Reverend & The Makers live too, never heard of them before the line up but they seem alright.

Bearded Theory was a really fab family friendly festival, security was just about right (there were also uc cops I believe who arrested a gang of thieves - we did have someone sniffing round our tent in the early hours of Fri morn - but security were round minutes after so we felt pretty safe) and the loos were well serviced, we will defo be there next year. The kids had a blast, and when you've got happy kids..........

    • Primavera refunding day tickets which are probably a negligible percentage of attendees yesterday.
    • Thursday day tickets being refunded. Fair play.
    • I’ve had a good sleep and I feel weirdly zen about the whole thing.   My first Primavera, so not the greatest first impression. I guess today couldn’t be any worse, right?   Thoroughly enjoyed Men I Trust and Geese. Cupra is a beautiful stage and the crowd seemed fun, friendly and engaged.   I think it probably could have gone even worse, considering how dangerous the crowding felt at times.   Anyway, we go again.
    • Brighton centre is a weird old venue for the Mary Wallopers - a great band, a really good live spectacle, and its a saturday night as well which sets it all up - but its at the bloody Centre? a charmless nonsense of a conference centre? Brighton dome is a ten min walk away and is so much nicer a place to see bands its ridiculous!    ah well, i'll probably mosy along anyways . . .
    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
