To be honest its one of those tunes where I cant objectively critique it. The album came out the morning I went on holiday so when I hear it it takes me back. A classic case of music-evoked nostalgia. Far from my fave Oasis tune but I like it. I think.

Much as they have more gash in their canon than most bands IMO they easily have 12 songs to make a "great" album's worth.

produced by Dave Sitek of TV On The Radio which i find incredibly odd, but yeah, a hell of a lot better than any of their previous stuff. weird choice for a single though as like you said, doesn't go anywhere

edit: oh apparently it's not a single, just an album teaser. kind of interested to see where they go on this album, although not holding out any kind of hope that it's gonna be anything more than average. there's a song on the album called 'Iz Rite'... and also one called 'Don't Brother Me' which i can only assume is aimed at Noel and will be hilarious
