Stereophonics are making an announcement tomorrow, tour for the new album I recon. I love them but not sure they would fit in at Rockness, they are very very good live though

i'd say they're in the same category as kasabian, mumfords, paolo nutini.

reckon they could headline easy...

Stereophonics are not the size they used to be. Could headline the Friday quite easily in my opinion.

Anyway, since we're nearing D-Day I'm going to take a wild punt at The Prodigy, Bloc Party, Avicii, Calvin Harris, Disclosure, Sven Vath, Phoenix and Plan B being announced.

Hopefully my punt is wrong with Calvin Harris and Avicii however....

They could easily headline, they always draw a big crowd at titp and have headlined multiple big festivals. Just not sure if they would interest a lot of the Rockness crowd. I would like to see it personally, and they did say on radio b4 xmas that they were playing a scottish festival, just waiting on the day and slot to be decided

I'd say the stereophonics are far better than they used to be. Problem is a lot of people just focus on the 1st 2 albums

the only strong inkling i have is qotsa and prodigy. primarilly because qotsa have nothing until download, and the prodigy are playing the weekend of rockness in germany.

im intrigued to know who it is as there havent actually been any strong rumours ...

Prodigy would be good to close the sunday again, I recon maybe guetta or one of the swedes for the sat night

i might just be biased but i highly doubt any of them could headline the festival. play at it fair enough but not headline ...

Just thinking along the lines of what's big just now, house music has really taken off over the last few years. Guetta has headlined dance festivals, although I'm not his biggest fan as I see him as more of a pop act

in all honesty i reckon guetta will be back at T ...

supporting rihanna on tour and from what i heard, ellis was impressed last year ..

If Guetta IS back at T then that would be 3 times in 4 years for him. I'd rather him go there than Rockness though. Could get at least 2 or 3 decent sized acts that are much better than Guetta for the same price.

I don't have a clue who we are gonna get, but I'm bracing myself for an underwhelming announcement. If it has taken the organisers this long to bring us names it suggests to me that they have been struggling to get anyone decent booked up.

The headliners are always pretty poor at Rockness imo , not since Daft Punk/Chems/Groove Armada in 2007 have they had anything close to being that good. If it wasn't for the Soma Arcadia Afterburner I would have stopped going to Rockness a few years ago.

But.....fingers crossed I'm surprised at the announcement this week. ( It cant be much worse than the T line-up anyway which is mince ).

Reckon we could see Diplo in some form, either with Major Lazer or on his own. If 2ManyDJs were to play what would the chances be in also having Soulwax again? Others that I'd like to see are Digitalism, Crystal Castles, The XX, Foals, and M83.
