KOL?

Been away from here for a couple of weeks and came back to check the rumours etc and catch up. Where did KOL come from? This would be heaven for me provided they didn't play any of Only By The Night (other than Crawl!).

I would read the 2013 headliners thread but it's jumped like 100 pages since I last viewed!

working on new album apparently so i'm assuming that'll either be released or be on the horizon when they tour / if they did Glastonbury. but i'd prefer them not to play though... as much as i used to love them, their past two albums have just done too much damage. i'd probably go and see them for a p!ssed sing along if nothing else was on though

They have tour dates in June, however no act has played more than two dates in England in May-Sept and headlined Glasto so its more likely to rule them out.... Thankfully.

How many bands have headlined glasto twice last decade? It's only Muse and Coldplay, and both those are slightly more glasto than KoL. It's kinda wierd how so many of these bands have a glasto window currently

They had a big hissy fit about the crowds at Reading and Leeds so I cant see them doing festivals. Im sure they said something along the lines of "this will be our last uk festival shows for a while" at the time (may be wrong, its late and Ive had a few beers)

Apart from that they are truly dire and would be a waste of a top spot.

they hated the crowd at Reading but loved the crowd at Leeds (i didn't go see them, went to see Faith No More instead, but apparently Caleb kept gushing about how much better the Leeds crowd was than Reading). they've done UK fests since (V Fest the year after). i doubt they'd let that one sour experience stop them doing festivals, especially since they're bigger over here than anywhere else in the world

Was unimpressed with them at Reading but to be fair to the audience and KOL the sound was shocking, mainly due to the wind blowing the sound straight back at the stage. It was even worse earlier in the day, when I guess the volume knob is turned down a little compared to headliners but there was moments you couldn't even hear deftones.

A friend once told me that they were a good band before they "sold out" with Sex On Fire, I listened to their earlier material and discovered something; he lied. Stay away from Worthy Farm, Kings Of Leon.

Early stuff is great. But seen em and done that. Don't want them at Glastonbury as they really have sold out now!

I like KOL, and I liked them when I saw them. However, I like hearing their albums loud and this is reminiscent of their live show. Absolutely no stage presence.

So in summary, good band, but would be an awful choice of headliner
