So are we saying that QOSTA - Enter Shikari - The Hives all clash becasue Maiden don't want anyone else playing at the same time? They are three bands I really want to see along with Rammstein so I will hold fire on buying tickets until its confirmed.

Hoping The Hives are headlining third (easily big enough to) then they clash with Maiden... Andy has said third stage will still clash with Maiden

I don't know if The Hives clash- they might be on at the same time as Maiden. Shikari should be in between QOTSA and Maiden so can see all of QOTSA then most of Shikari

Yeah, I'm thinking they'll be 3rd stage headliners. I've got no idea on the bands sizes in relation the stages or their popularity at Download though

Well Frank Turner just about filled third stage at Download same year he had a massive crowd at main stage Reading as well as filling the Lockup... so think The Hives will have a decent crowd but not Reading sized... especially if they are against Maiden

I don't think The Hives are headlining 3rd. They should however get a high spot in the tent (remember Corey Taylor subbed 3rd), I can see them up against QOTSA/Shikari.

I'm not bothered about Maiden as they were pretty boring at Sonisphere, so QoTSA, Enter Shikari then the Hives would be perfect for me.

How big is the 3rd stage? The Hives packed out the NME tent at R & L (which holds over 10,000 people).

I seem to remember the Reading tent being 22k now they extended it this year... not sure how big the 3rd (Dance/Lock Up?) is.

Sounds like Enter Shikari will clash with the end of QoTSA set according to Copping on Twitter.

QOTSA followed by the Hives should be a good end to the night, Mastodon and AIC also on that day makes it look pretty tasty.

Thinking about it Young Guns then Mastodon then AIC then Jimmy Eat World then QOTSA then a bit of Enter Shikari then The Hives is a damn sweet schedule. I reckon Jimmy and QOTSA may clash by about 25 mins but hopefully one or the other will announce a tour and I'll just see part of their set and the full amount of the other.

Andy's confirmed The Hives are headlining 3rd & will clash with Iron Maiden. Bummer
