Where will everone camp?

Dairy or Park if I'm with the kids, Undleground if there is space with friends who sometimes manage to squeeze me in.

Anywhere, however, is my final answer. I will camp exactly where I decide on the day. Some years this means missioning across the site at gates open to get exactly the spot I have set my mind on, others it means dropping anchor at the point I just can't carry shit any longer. Mostly it works out ok either way.

As has been mentioned above getting space at the "good" spots has become such a trauma I am finished with it, in 2011 I slept in the car and got my space on Big Ground, but only because they opened PGC early, I was on site at 08.10 and even then it was almost full, (for big groups) by 11.00.

Next year I will be in a tipi, four of us confirmed with tickets and a fifth trying in the resale, so much less hassle. I will train down on Wednesday afternoon waltz in after all the queues have gone, dump rucksack in the tipi and straight to the cider bus, no tent to put up no tent to take down and pack up and guaranteed excellent spot next to the park.

Gonna try for the top of Spring Ground this year if space allows. Camped around most of the site in the past and this is definitely my favourite spot.

No space there last year so ended up squeezed into a small spot in Kidney Mead which was no fun as we didn't have space for a camp fire and I love fire.

In 2010 we camped in the Bushy Ground behind the dance village because we didn't get there until Thursday afternoon, I was a bit gutted at first that we couldn't get closer to the action but it turned out to be a fantastic spot in the end because it had a bit less human traffic around so I felt like the tent was a bit safer there & it was quiet at night (apart from the obligatory "Alan"!)

I couldn't get a ticket for 2011 but my friends camped in the same spot and had no problems again so that's where I'll be heading for again next year music.gif

Excited much!!!

Never been before but I'm tossing up between somewhere near Michael's Mead/Hawkwell for a nice view of the pyramid or near the top of Park Home Ground to be close to the Park/Other Stage.

I'll happily accept any other suggestions. Would be like somewhere not too loud, but not too quiet either, fits a group of 7 of us arriving at around Midday Wednesday, is relatively close to everything and is safe.

Oxlyers again for us, we were camped directly behind the lock up in 2011 hoping for that again but this time we have a group of 20+ people so I doubt it,(compared to last time when it was just me and my bro) any ideas where would be more suitable for this size of group but still near to night life?

    • This is great. Friday and Saturday main are 🔥   If they do end up touring next year I could see a trio of Blink, Deftones & Maiden working quite well.

    • True and given how rapidly it fell apart for Piastri in the final third of last season, we do have precedents for it going wrong.   Although Antonelli did a brilliant effort to eke out Monaco pole yesterday against Verstappen while Russell's down in 6th. I know Russell was unlucky in China and Japan but in the last few weeks, Antonelli is starting to look like he gets the demands of this new spec of car better.
    • I didn't watch all of the England friendly last night but I did see some of it. Still seems like they have a few gears to go through. But then I also felt that for the Uruguay and Japan friendlies a few months ago, so... hmmm...
