Saw PiL on Jools last week and was so impressed that Ive just got their new album.

And it got me thinking, have they played at Glasto before? What are the chances for next year? Do the Eavis's like them?

For a silly old fool, Mr Lydon is still entertaining and the new album is pretty impressive, in my opinion.

Saw them in Bournemouth a couple of months ago and it was one of my gigs of the year.

Went there with quite low expectations, but they were great - they got into a bit of a dubby groove and played for about two and a half hours.

John was entertaining as always, but interestingly was a lot less of the cartoon character he turns into when fronting the Pistols.

I'd see them again if they played at G.

I saw Private Image Limited* in August at Sub89 club in Reading. I have to say, musically they were absolutely fantastic. Much, much better than they were back in the late 70s when I saw them at Stonehenge.

* my new name for the band considering how they used heavy security to prevent me from taking my usual gig photos. Far too interested in their own image rights than they should be considering Lydon's reputation. That said, to deal with my heckling calling him a capitalist bastard he did ask his security to back off halfway through his set as he looked extremely embarrassed by then.

i've listened to the new album a couple of times this morning. Brilliant. Best stuff i've heard for a while. Please book them Eavi!! I reckon forget a big stage , lets put them on headlining the Avalon stage!

I was actually stood next to Johnny during his Jools performance a couple of weeks ago and I can tell you, that guy walked the walk the whole time he was there - from having a laugh with the audience, taking the piss out other acts, and gobbing on the studio floor at regular intervals. You've gotta hand it to him for his consistency.
