Easily the worst TNA PPV I ever did see.

Every match had an awful finish, the matches themselves were pretty dire, teased things that never happened, the crowd was dead.

Just AWFUL show. I fear for the future of TNA and it takes a lot for me to say that cus I usually find the positive, but there were none last night. It was just shocking.

I'm in agreement, where it first went sour for me was hardy bringing out a ladder in a ultimate x match. and the majority of endings were crap too.

they really need to rethink a lot of ideas about what they're doing, otherwise I give it less than a year

Met Bret Hart yesterday which was amazing.

Had to que for 3 hours as it was so busy but was worth it. Got pictures and my dvd signed. They were running late so they told people to keep it brief and no 5 minute conversations which people had bee getting earlier. Told him how much I loved his work with Perfect which he replied "They were great". The wrestling show was a couple of hours later and Bret come out and cut a promo before the main event. He was very emotional and spoke about how he was in Dundee back in 1981 and learned a lot of things and always wanted to come back for his fans. Was a brilliant night.

Managed to catch the Bound For Glory main event when we got back from a club but don't really remember it. Going to watch the full show later tonight, dissapointed to hear it was shit as that show usually always delivers.

According to the Raw 5 point preview tonight there is going to be a fan vote on the best match of their '30 Years of Wrestlemania' feature on the new game and the winning match will be shown on Raw.

Really?

They are going to show a match from a computer game?

New low.

Goldberg DVD. Starts off well and then gets boring. Much like his career. Amazing to see how popular he was about 6 months into his career compared to when Nash beat him about 18 months in. People were well bored of him by then.

That's because WCW spent six months basically burying him after he won the title from Hogan.

Goldberg had one memorable match as champ, against DDP at Halloween Havoc 98. Other than that, he was stuck in mid card feuds with Curt Henning and Bam Bam Bigelow. Golderbeg didn't even defend his title on TWO PPV's from winning the title and losing it- Fall Brawl 98 and WW3. So what exactly was Goldberg doing? He was a mid card World title holder, second to Hogan, Nash, Karl Malone, Dennis Rodman, Jay Leno, etc etc.

And there is the point... JAY LENO headlined almost as many WCW PPV's as Goldberg did when he was the champ. And one of them Goldberg only headlined when he lost the title.

Nash also booked himself as the streak killer and as a heroic babyface.

So I actually stayed up and watched Impact last night. Opening promo was MEGA long, first match started 40 minutes into the show. Things seemed disjointed, Im not sure where things are going and it overall was a poor show, they've fucked up heel Dixie already. AJ's character, I just don't understand where they're going with it....

I agree. I want TNA to do well so much but BFG was a shambles, as was Impact. The booking is getting worse and worse. Hopefully they pick it up going into 2014. At least they haven't signed Hogan back, well as of now...

well HIAC was shit. only non-mediocre parts were ambrose vs langston, and the show stealer at the start that was the triple threat tag team match. quality.

apart from that, i'm glad punk has hopefully stopped the feud with heyman and can move on to something else. plus am getting tired of the shitty endings for the wwe title, if anything it's completely destroyed the momentum d-bryan had.

real fuck up from creative and whoever makes the decisions... unless its what they wanted.

You can't say that Liam, who knows whats going on. No-one does, but im not against it, imagine if someone bought it like Man City was taken over and the right people were put in charge, advertising happened. Damn. It really could grow to the strengths WCW was. Just takes the right people at the top.

It might be best to have a complete relaunch though, I mean TNA it still is a shit name for a wrestling company, Total Nonstop Action when the past weeks Impact the first match didn't start until 40 minutes into the show and it lasted 3 minutes.

Some big changes need to happen over the next year, everyone knows that.

TNA definitely needs a relaunch

As for WWE...

I actually watched HIAC, first I have watched since Summerslam. The opening 3 way tag was brilliant. Easily MOTN and best wrestling match I have seen in a long time. The rest of the show wasn't up to much. Bryan/Orton didn't need the cage and I didn't like the ending with Shawn losing his smile once again. I hope this isn't all eventually leading towards HBK vs HHH.

Sandow cashed in on RAW tonight and lost.

Can't believe I've only just found this thread :P

With Hell In A Cell out of the way, and certain feuds coming to an end, what are people's current predictions for Wrestlemania XXX?

As much as I would love to see Sting come to WWE and take on The Undertaker, I have a feeling that we are going to finally get Taker vs. Cena at WM. Which leaves CM Punk and Daniel Bryan to steal the show for the WWE Title.

There has also been talk of Hulk Hogan wanting to come back for one more match. What a terrible idea imo. He has apparently been 'training like crazy' to get back in shape. Hogan vs. Cena has been bandied about, which, if it happened, would sell loads of PPVs surely?

The Rock is due a comeback in the next few months one would think. Despite what hes been saying. He could be in the picture at WM. Lesnar too.

Hogan? Not sure what a 60 year old who has just had a bout of very serious back operations could add. Hes a terrible wrestler too so someone would have to really carry him. Id love to see it though don't get me wrong.

Hogan vs Austin would obviously be the ideal match. A disaster that it never happened at WM18.

Yeah I've heard about The Rock, but I've also read stuff about him having to film around WM time again, and not wanting to get injured again. If he was back though, surely Brock vs. Rock II would HAVE to happen!?

Yeah the feud Austin had with Scott Hall was terrible. If we're talking dream matches, Austin vs. Punk needs to happen. Austin looks in better shape than he ever did lately, so maybe all of his comments about not coming are to throw everyone off? Then again, I'm probably just hoping :P

Loads of talk about Goldberg coming back for another match too, Ryback is the obvious choice, although I'd LOVE to see Goldberg vs. Cena.

And also, with a Shield breakup being teased over the past couple of weeks, I'd like to see how they would be booked leading up to WM. Seth Rollins is my favourite member, just putting it out there...

    • So, what would the weather have been like at this year's festival?   It's been shambolic around here, the rain is soul destroying and showing no sign of letting up, bar odd sporadic days here and there. Disgraceful for June.   What's it like down there? Have we had a lucky escape?...

    • belated thanks for this ended up going, was a good evening and a great venue with a cracking beer selection (give the festival a few tips on that). Never been in before despite reasonably local.       Main takeaways from the film (as someone who didnt go for much later). The festival has changes a lot since then apart from the Green Fields that looked the exact same.  Me and my mate both agreed that Shambala is today than Glastonbury.   Cool piece of merch aswell.
