i see on facebook Circo Loco are talking about glastonbury.

can definitely see seth troxler & their usual faces tania vulcano, tanzmann playing their tent if they are curating a lineup/area

Seth played last year instead of Maya Jane Coles. It was a nice surprise

yeah i saw him 3 times last year at glastonbury.

as part of the visionquest take over on the thursday night, then in silver hayes filling for maya jane coles (a much better replacement than coles anyway) & then on genosys...he played a brilliant set on the genosys stage i thought.

One of the biggest house/techno acts from the previous year, who made, probably, the remix of the year, and one of the biggest original tracks of the year which looks set to be going high into the charts, is playing a double set at Glastonbury under their real name and their alias ;) they've also been posted on this thread several times.

I saw boiler room tweet to glastonbury saying they had an 'idea' a few weeks back as well. Will be good to see if anything comes of that.

That would be great providing the dude that introduces everyone stays well away from the mic.

I dunno on this one.. most popular remix of last year was surely MK on look right through (it was everywhere) but he's not doing any original stuff i don't think?

only other house/techno artist who's gonna get into the charts is looking to be route 94 which I think is getting an official release for my love soon. And Ben Pearce kind of meets this criteria.

Eric Prydz playing under Cirez D? I would be unbelievably happy if he did.

And how do you know this information?

Youre both wrong, but as long as you like Special Requests, you won't be disappointed ;)

Rubenz/Roland the rat knows where its at ;) Untitled is getting a big commercial re release in March, the video for it is ridiculous but certain to dowell due to its cliched commercial house-ness. Looked back in this thread and saw when NorthernSoul posted it, he said it needed a three/four minute edit, unfortunately they've picked the wrong three/four minutes haha.

Yes I like some of those Special Request tracks, also not forgetting his other alias of Bobby Peru..

    • Maybe hopeful but get Knocked Loose on the Sunday opposite the legend. Similar to the slot Turnstile had in 2022. Would be absolutely phenomenal.
    • One of my personal favourite bands at the minute - MUNA. Was very surprised not to see them booked in 2023 with their last album but hopefully they'll be around next year. Very fun new album from these guys and, as aforementioned, another standout for me at Big Weekend.
    • Absolutely second this. Were great at Big Weekend and already have a great catalogue of songs forming so far. Would love to see them on the farm!
    • A mixed first day for us. First of all, we were honestly quite shocked that there was no security check at all at the VIP entrance around 7:30 PM. No bag check, nothing. I’ve attended Primavera many times over the years and this felt surprisingly lax for an event of this size. Did anyone else experience the same?   Another disappointment was the communication regarding the weather situation. Primavera has some of the best sound systems and speaker setups in the festival world, yet somehow they were not able to make a single clear announcement explaining what was happening. Instead, people were expected to read tiny messages on screens in Mordor while thousands were left wondering what was going on. A simple and direct audio announcement would have gone a long way.   On a lighter note, this guy absolutely made my day. Sitting right in front of the Estrella Damm terrace, wearing nothing but a long-sleeve shirt, jeans and a pair of Converse All Stars, he remained completely unbothered by the rain. While everyone else was looking for shelter, he sat there wearing sunglasses, calmly watching the crowd as if he was watching a movie.   Absolute main character energy!
    • I think my party got pretty lucky last night, at least compared to some of the horror stories over on Reddit. I was very impressed with Father John Misty in particular.   Perhaps my view would be different if I were a big Massive Attack fan or whatever, but right now my feeling is that if it's not safe for the shows to go ahead... then it's not safe for the shows to go ahead. I'd much rather they were cautious than roll the dice when it comes to something like that.    Here's hoping everyone has a better day today.
