You're right. I didn't mean sell out literally, just in style.

disagree, think their first album was more different and much less generic than the second (i.e. much slower, slightly less heavy (couldn't find word)) . Second one was basically a copy of TDCC and the like.

Two Door?? :dontknow:

Personally, I like both albums. The first is generic indie, but at least its good generic indie. It was obvious they couldn't carry that on and so they mixed it up on the second (there's much more variety in sounds, especially with Justins vocals). It was a good effort, they just didn't quite get some of the songs right & it kinda spoilt the rest of the album. If anything it was the 'generic indie' ones that let the second album down

The Vaccines' first album is really good, second one's not bad although certainly not up to the same standard.

Palma Violets sound like The Vaccines without the songs. Their first single was pretty good but everything else I've heard just sounds bland.

Alt-J's album is decent but not nearly enough to justify all the hype.

Still think its extreme that people hate any of them so much though. As has been pointed out, they've just been lucky enough to ride on hype and press coverage which any band would be happy to receive.

I thought we were all talking about Sum 41 headlining FR like 10 pages back? That's were I took the idea from, thought it was a genuine idea given Feeder and Ash have both played FR recently.

Not sure how big Killswitch are but NME is all that's left so here's hoping.

On Killswitch Engage they could always do main... they are about as big (maybe slightly more popular and reunion with original vocalist has to provide interest) as when they played last time and were about second on main then. Think maybe a slight push up and we could have a Friday like:

Green Day

System of a Down

Deftones

Frank Turner

Bring Me The Horizon

New Found Glory

Killswitch Engage

Tomahawk

While She Sleeps

Looks a good main to me. Nice mix of sounds while still giving a fairly traditional heavy day for main.

    • That's the festival apart fay tickets in some form sold out.
    • There’s a few in there which could go either way or I’m not bothered if I miss but think that’s now be pretty set.  Few rubbish clashes like Kasabian/Loyle plus Reytons/Pixies/CMAT but I’ll head with the lads to the most popular one.   (And yes no Byrne or Twigs, just can’t into either)
    • I saw somewhere they were advertising Lewis' day as him live on Glagow Green and only mentioned Amy Mcdonald and CMAT as support, 0 mention of the festival  I completely agree this will probably be the last one which is a shame because the first 2 seemed so promising and now its turned into middle of the road rubbish with acts you can see everywhere else  Anyone know if the BBC are covering it next week as it'll be fascinating to see how full (or empty) it is
    • Did anyone catch Viagra Boys last night? A rollicking good set, with a little more free jazz than I expected.   if you’re up early, Walabi is doing a super job in the Cupra Pulse. There till six.
